Manager, Growth & Offerings – Pursuits
Looking for a professional who can support the Growth & Offerings – Pursuits group of the Audit & Assurance practice with compelling, content creation and analysis to improve growth performance and win new audit and assurance business. Candidates would leverage strong problem solving, analysis, project management, communication, and writing and design skills. Seeking a quick learner who enjoys working across multiple teams, sharing new and innovative ideas, writing strategic messaging, and developing compelling, creative content. Candidates should have intellectual curiosity and a good understanding of the audit marketplace, SEC filings, audit requirements, and business structures. Would be expected to quickly understand the Audit & Assurance practice of Deloitte and the lifecycle of pursuits.
Work you’ll do:
As a manager in Deloitte & Touche LLP, a subsidiary of the Deloitte US Firms, you will contribute to the growth and development of the Audit & Assurance practice in a variety of ways.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Develop, organize, and manage content updates for proposal documents and related collateral and take ownership of various components including the graphics, playbooks, and messaging
- Assist with data analysis to identify potential pursuit content (e.g., facts and stats to be used in sales documents)
- Create custom analyses, draft strategic messaging, and design graphics for pursuit teams to leverage in the sales process
- Determine how competitive intelligence from a variety of sources should shape pursuit tactics, content, and messaging
- Assist with the development of tools/resources to support pursuit teams in selling audits
- Liaise with other stakeholders in effectively managing content and keeping it up to date for broad usage across the business
- Track and manage the deployment of Audit & Assurance professionals for various pursuits which requires strong project management and communication skills
- Respond to ad-hoc requests as needed
The team:
This position is part of a team of professionals focused on creating content and messaging for pursuits, leading programs, deploying resources to support pursuits, and collecting and sharing competitive intelligence to inform pursuit tactics and win new audit and assurance business for the firm. The team regularly interacts with partner leaders and audit practitioners in executing its mission as well as reports to firm leadership.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Marketing, Communications, Business, English or a related business field
- 5+ years of related professional experience
- Advanced MS Office skills, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising professional judgment
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision and guidance
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to learn quickly on a wide variety of topics
- Understanding of business development concepts, strategies of professional services organizations, and different types of business structures
- Strong analytical and research skills, including familiarity with secondary research databases such as Factiva, D&B Hoovers, Thomson One, Intelligize, and/or U.S. SEC EDGAR system
- Strong reviewing skills and attention to detail
- Must be adept in handling ad-hoc requests related to research and content creation
- Good data visualization skills and ability to present analysis in intuitive graphical and tabular formats
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent team player with experience collaborating within virtual teams
- Strong project management skills – ability to scope, plan, execute, and deliver projects
- Ability to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred:
- Strong design skills is a plus
- Practical knowledge of the audit profession
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $89,820 to $195,215.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
