Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a SOLUTION SPECIALIST, CORE BUSINESS OPERATIONS, SYSTEMS ENGINEERING in Gilbert, AZ and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

PROVIDE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES TO HELP COMPANIES UNLOCK THE VALUE OF TECHNOLOGY INVESTMENTS, RANGING FROM REQUIREMENTS TO ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN TO DEVELOPMENT, AND TESTING TO DEPLOYMENT, AS DISCRETE SERVICES OR COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTIONS. EVALUATE TECHNOLOGY NEEDS, DEVELOP CUSTOMIZED APPLICATIONS AND DRAFT TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL DESIGN DOCUMENTATION; IDENTIFY AND MITIGATE RISKS IN PROCESS AND TECHNOLOGY FOR ENGAGEMENTS. PERFORM ASSESSMENTS OF EXISTING INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND IDENTIFY GAPS BETWEEN BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS AND CURRENT SYSTEM CAPABILITIES; ESTIMATE TIME AND RESOURCES NEEDED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT WORK. DESIGN SUB-COMPONENTS OF LARGER APPLICATION SYSTEMS; INTEGRATE SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS WITH EACH OTHER AND CONTINUOUSLY OPTIMIZE THE SYSTEM STRUCTURE TO IMPROVE STABILITY AND PERFORMANCE. DEFINE SYSTEMS STRATEGY, DEVELOP SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS, DESIGN, PROTOTYPE, AND TEST CUSTOM TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, AND SUPPORT SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION. DEVELOP DASHBOARD WIREFRAMES AND DESIGN REQUIREMENTS BASED ON DISCUSSION WITH AN UNDERSTANDING OF TECHNICAL AND VISUAL DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS. RESEARCH USER REPORTED ISSUES WITH SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS, IDENTIFY ROOT CAUSES AND RESOLUTIONS, IMPLEMENT FIXES, AND LIAISE BETWEEN BUSINESS FUNCTIONS, END USERS, AND TECHNICAL DELIVERY TEAMS. CREATE TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS, INCLUDING SCREEN LAYOUTS, NAVIGATION FLOWS, LOGIC DIAGRAMS, DATA MODELS, PROCESS MODELS, AND PSEUDO CODE, TO BE USED FOR APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT. WORK WITH A TEAM OF DEVELOPERS TO BOTH PRODUCE NEW COMPONENTS AND RESOLVE DEFECTS THROUGH A STANDARD DEFECT RESOLUTION PROCESS.

Requirements 

BACHELORS DEGREE OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, ANY STEM FIELD OR A RELATED FIELD. ONE YEAR OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. MUST HAVE ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE WITH:

  • PROVIDING SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES TO HELP COMPANIES UNLOCK THE VALUE OF TECHNOLOGY INVESTMENTS, INCLUDING REQUIREMENTS, ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, TESTING, AND DEPLOYMENT, AS DISCRETE SERVICES OR COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTIONS, UTILIZING MICROSOFT (MS) .NET FRAMEWORK, MS ASP.NET, MVC.NET, HTML5, CASCADING STYLE SHEETS (CSS), JAVASCRIPT, JQUERY, AGILE, AND SPRINT RELEASES;
  • PERFORMING ASSESSMENTS OF EXISTING INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND IDENTIFY GAPS BETWEEN BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS AND CURRENT SYSTEM CAPABILITIES, UTILIZING MS .NET FRAMEWORK LIBRARIES, OBJECT-ORIENTED PROGRAMMING (OOP), N-TIER ARCHITECTURE, AND MS TEAM FOUNDATION SERVER (TFS);
  • RESEARCHING USER REPORTED ISSUES WITH SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS, IDENTIFYING ROOT CAUSES AND RESOLUTIONS, IMPLEMENTING FIXES, AND LIAISING BETWEEN BUSINESS FUNCTIONS, END USERS, AND TECHNICAL DELIVERY TEAMS, UTILIZING MS TFS;
  • CREATING TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS, INCLUDING SCREEN LAYOUTS, NAVIGATION FLOWS, LOGIC DIAGRAMS, DATA MODELS, PROCESS MODELS, AND PSEUDO CODE, TO BE USED FOR APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT, UTILIZING MS OFFICE TOOLS INCLUDING ADVANCED MS EXCEL, POWERPOINT, VISIO, AND WORD, AND MS SQL SERVER MANAGEMENT STUDIO (SSMS);
  • CONDUCTING UNIT TESTING OF WEB SERVICES AND WEB APPLICATIONS, UTILIZING TELERIK FIDDLER AND POSTMAN;
  • DEVELOPING DOMAIN CLASSES AND DATABASE ACCESS METHODS, UTILIZING MS SSMS AND MS ADO.NET;
  • CREATING WEB APPLICATIONS, UTILIZING JAVASCRIPT AND MS TOOLS INCLUDING, ASP.NET 3.5, ASP.NET MODEL VIEW CONTROLLER (MVC), WEB FORMS, WEB SERVICES, C#, AND VISUAL BASIC TO PROVIDE SERVICE AND DATA TO USERS; AND
  • DESIGNING AND DEVELOPING APPLICATIONS, UTILIZING MS VISUAL STUDIO 2013 TO MEET FUNCTIONAL NEEDS FOR SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS.
