Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a SENIOR CONSULTANT, CORE BUSINESS OPERATIONS, SYSTEMS ENGINEERING in Charlotte, NC and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

DESIGNING, IMPLEMENTING, AND OPERATING SOLUTIONS FOR CUSTOM-DEVELOPED SYSTEMS, PLATFORM INTEGRATION, AND APPLICATION MODERNIZATION TO ENABLE CORE BUSINESS CAPABILITIES FOR ENTERPRISE-LEVEL CLIENTS IN THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY. SYNTHESIZING OVERALL OPERATIONS STRATEGY BY ANALYZING A WIDE VARIETY OF BUSINESS SOLUTIONS. PARTICIPATING IN SETTING ENGAGEMENT OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE, DEVELOPING WORK PLANS FOR COMPONENTS OF ENGAGEMENTS, COORDINATING ACTIVITIES BETWEEN WORKSTREAMS AND IDENTIFYING CHANGES IN SCOPE. PARTICIPATING IN VARIOUS ASPECTS OF THE FULL SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE (SDLC) FOR SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS, WHICH MAY INCLUDE REQUIREMENTS GATHERING, APPLICATION CONFIGURATION DESIGN, BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYSIS (BPA), SCRIPTING, CODE DEPLOYMENTS, ENHANCEMENT VALIDATION, TRIAGE OF DEFECTS AND CHANGE REQUESTS, ESCALATIONS AND URGENT ISSUES. EVALUATING CLIENTS' TECHNOLOGY NEEDS, DEVELOPING CUSTOMIZED APPLICATIONS AND DRAFT TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL DESIGN DOCUMENTATION. IDENTIFYING AND MITIGATING RISKS IN PROCESS AND TECHNOLOGY FOR CLIENT ENGAGEMENTS. DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING PROJECT DELIVERABLES FOR CLIENTS FOR ALL PHASES OF THE SDLC TO SUBSTANTIALLY BUILD THE SYSTEM FUNCTIONALITIES. RESEARCHING USER REPORTED ISSUES WITH SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS, IDENTIFYING ROOT CAUSES AND RESOLUTIONS, IMPLEMENTING FIXES, AND LIAISING BETWEEN BUSINESS FUNCTIONS, END USERS, AND TECHNICAL DELIVERY TEAMS. TRACKING APPLICATION DEFECTS USING DEFECT TRACKING TOOLS; COORDINATING DEFECT RESOLUTION EFFORTS, AND DOCUMENTING RESOLUTION DETAILS.

Requirements 

BACHELOR'S DEGREE OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, ANY STEM DEGREE, OR A RELATED FIELD. TWO YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE OFFERED POSITION OR A POSITION IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. MUST HAVE TWO YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH:

  • WORKING ACROSS ALL PHASES OF THE WATERFALL LIFECYCLE FOR THE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, TESTING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF CORE BUSINESS OPERATIONS SOLUTIONS FOR ENTERPRISE-LEVEL CLIENTS IN THE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY;
  • ANALYZING AND DOCUMENTING CURRENT-STATE SYSTEMS, PROCESSES AND ENVIRONMENTS TO SUPPORT PROJECT DESIGN OF FUTURE-STATE/TO-BE SYSTEMS, PROCESSES AND ENVIRONMENTS USING MICROSOFT (MS) VISIO;
  • INTERFACING DIRECTLY WITH CLIENT STAKEHOLDERS TO GATHER FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS, ANALYZING CLIENT REQUIREMENTS, AND TRANSLATING REQUIREMENTS INTO PROJECT DESIGNS TO DELIVER STRATEGICALLY EFFICIENT SOLUTIONS THAT SATISFY CLIENT NEEDS;
  • USING WATERFALL AND AGILE METHODOLIGIES AND MAINFRAME PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES TO SUPPORT AND PARTICIPATE IN THE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECT SOLUTIONS;
  • TRACKING AND REPORTING ON PROJECT AND MILESTONE DELIVERABLE STATUS TO ENSURE TIMELY PROJECT DELIVERY AND COMMUNICATION OF UPDATES TO INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS USING MS PROJECT;
  • COORDINATING THE PROJECT ACTIVITIES OF ONSHORE AND OFFSHORE TEAM MEMBERS TO ENSURE THE TIMELY AND QUALITY COMPLETION OF PROJECT DELIVERABLES;
  • USING MANUAL TESTING METHODOLOGIES TO SUPPORT AND PERFORM UNIT TESTING AND SYSTEM INTEGRATION TESTING (SIT) TO ENSURE SUCCESSFUL DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECT SOLUTIONS;
  • DESIGNING AND DELIVERING USER MANUALS AND TRAINING FOR SOLUTIONS TO ENSURE SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION, ADOPTION AND MAINTENANCE IN CLIENT ENVIRONMENTS;
  • SUPPORTING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT AND RESPONSES TO REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS (RFPS);
  • CREATING AND UPDATING PROJECT SCHEDULES AND ESTIMATES, CREATING COMMUNICATION PLANS, ESTABLISHING RISK IDENTIFICATION AND MITIGATION PLANS, AND PLANNING FOR BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLANS (BCP); AND
  • DEVELOPING APPLICATIONS BY ACTING AS LIASONS BETWEEN BUSINESS AND TECHNICAL TEAM, DEVELOPING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS, DESIGNING, PROTOTYPING, AND TESTING CUSTOM TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, AND SUPPORTING SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION.
