SAP Basis Technology Architect

Work you’ll do

The SAP Technology Architect will be responsible for the driving of Technical Support in Basis and other teams of SAP systems and related environments. This will include participation in Architecture, Engineering and Operational activities. The SAP Technology Architect must adhere to policies & standards whilst implementing the solution adhering to industry best practices. The SAP Technology Architect shall lead activities by consulting with various project teams to ensure that SAP Systems are integrated into various applications & comprehensively tested to ensure system robustness, acceptable performance, and reliability. The SAP Technology Architect creates and contributes to technical procedures, technical documentation, and cross team training.

The SAP Technology Architect works continually to develop advanced skills and strives to foster broader organizational maturity in these areas. 

Responsibilities will also include:

  • Will innovate and to learn new skills as required in supporting a continually changing technical environment.
  • Lead and guide Technical support of SAP systems and related environments in several of the following: Business Objects, Business Process Controls, SAP GRC & SAP Solution Manager, Netweaver ABAP / JAVA stacks, ERP ECC, HANA, SLT, Solutions Manager, PI, BOBJ, iXOS/OpenText, BSI, OneSource.
  • SAP implementation, upgrades, and support
  • Responsible for establishing and executing business recoveries and procedures.
  • Support of infrastructure platforms (e.g., AIX servers, Intel servers, networking, etc.)
  • Ability to monitor and report on multiple deliverables with a focus on meeting / exceeding deadlines.

Technology Management Office

The Technology Management Office is the engine of the ITS organization, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and fiscally-sound technology operation. This multi-disciplinary team runs IT as a business by transforming IT finance, reporting project portfolio metrics, quality, deployment, delivery, and adoption, and building the IT workforce of the future.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • 2+ years working hands on with SAP Basis supporting the administration and design/architecture of systems
  • Database Administration Information technology services experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills are required for the timely resolution of complex customer issues.
  • Able to implement processes to continue to improve operational stability.
  • Limited / Occasional travel to conferences, training, Deloitte locations in US and India.
  • Travel up to <5% (While <5% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
  • Ability to occasionally work non-standard shifts and/or on-call to support the requirements of the organization.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems preferred or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.
  • Ability to innovate and to learn new skills as required in supporting a continually changing technical environment.
  • SAP HANA and SAP Oracle Database experience
  • Experience with several of the following: SAP Basis, Unix (AIX/Linux) and Windows 2016/2019.

SAP HANA and SLT Administration experience (including installation and upgrading)

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $104,000 to $214,000.
