Position Summary

Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP advises clients on managing business controversy and conflict, executing deals, and maintaining regulatory compliance. We provide services to companies throughout their lifecycle from purchasing a company to investigating potential fraud.

The Team

In 2008, Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP (DTBA) opened a new facility in Nashville, TN for e-discovery and computer forensics work. DTBA's E-Discovery Solutions Center ("EDSC") continues to increase the capacity, quality, and efficiency of DTBA' s e-file processing by utilizing state-of-the-art technology in a dedicated environment. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join DTBA's Analytic & Forensic Technology practice and help drive the success of the EDSC.

The EDSC will be a 24x7, 365 days a year operation. The position is located in Nashville, TN.

Work You’ll Do

  • Work with multiple teams to understand, document, and improve project methodologies.
  • Successful candidate will assist teams in resolving technological roadblocks, and will have the ability to find issues or anomalies in large sets of data using SQL queries and statistical sampling methods.
  • Use critical thinking and analysis to identify errors and make recommendations for process improvement
  • Assist with developing and managing quality control activities including checklist templates while incorporating new ideas for efficiency.
  • Responsible for the development and overall quality of team deliverables; establish and execute test plans
  • Adhere to and advocate for administrative and physical control practices to maintain security and privacy of electronically stored information (ESI)
  • Develop complex SQL queries and stored procedures as needed to investigate and resolve data issues
  • Conduct training and prepare presentation materials
  • Create and review standard operating procedures and perform documentation management.
  • Perform root cause analysis and diagnosis, implement controls, and communicate to leadership teams
  • Facilitate meetings and provide assistance in managing solutions and remediation plan
  • Develop and deliver quality reports to leadership teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science preferred, or a similar technical discipline, or comparable industry experience.
  • 3 years of prior experience of supporting quality function for a service/product organization.
  • 2 years of experience analyzing business problems, transactional data, or unstructured data.
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills to perform complex queries against large datasets, identify data anomalies, gaps and trends, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Develop periodic reports based on risk control assessment; summarize testing results and observations to the business leadership team and other key stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, think creatively, communicate recommendations, influence change, incorporate best practices, and be able to drive process and structure to an extremely dynamic environment
  • Familiar with concepts and techniques of forecasting, sampling, statistical analysis, risk assessments.
  • Thorough knowledge and implementation experience of industry compliance standards and regulations; having exposure to IT service management standards such as ITIL/CMMI (Service)/ISO 20000.
  • Knowledge of common e-Discovery applications is a plus.
  • Experience in handling multiple concurrent complex activities within a fast paced, highly technical changing environment.
  • Ability to identify project risks and escalate in a timely manner.
  • Ability to quickly learn customized proprietary software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both internal team and clients.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, nimbleness and well organized, self-directed and a team player.
  • Experience with working and providing work transition with colleagues in multiple locations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
