The Portfolio Marketing Strategist for the Deloitte Purpose Office will work directly with business leaders to strategize, plan, and oversee marketing activities, develop and implement new marketing strategies and approaches and will drive engagement and business growth. In this role you will build the best-in-class marketing strategy, aligned to business goals, that provide a clear return-on-investment. You will utilize innovative, go-to-market tools and approaches leveraging the full capabilities of Deloitte’s Marketing Excellence organization, to maximize market reach, return on investment, and impact for the business. 

What you’ll do:

As a Senior Marketing Manager in Deloitte Services LP, you will contribute to the growth and development of our organization in a variety of ways, including:

  • Raise awareness of Deloitte’s commitment to Purpose by developing an integrated, multi-dimensional marketing approach that engages players across the ecosystem, both internally and externally
  • Cultivate and own strong relationships with third-party party organizations and/or associations, acting as marketing leader to support the development and execution of collaborative marketing efforts and campaigns
  • Integrate marketing efforts and business collaboration by acting as the connection point across Marketing Excellence, internal communications, public relations, global marketing, etc.
  • Drive and promote the overarching core messaging framework, working across adjacent pillars to ensure harmony in messaging, and go to market approach 
  • Collaborate internally with stakeholders across the firm to develop complementary strategies, amplify messages, and maximize impact
  • Drive the annual marketing planning process, including discussions with leadership around business priorities
  • Develop the marketing strategy and the prioritization of how marketing will support business priorities and campaigns based on channels, resources, capabilities, and costs
  • Collaborate with Public Relations team to drive media coverage
  • Define metrics and KPIs to assess marketing success, activity and channel levels to inform future strategy and tactics; track and report campaign KPIs and ROI and own success story development

Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of integrated marketing and communications, including marketing strategy, branding, campaign development, experience design and execution and communications
  • Self-starter that enjoys working in a dynamic environment, with a bias towards action
  • A natural born networker that enjoys building relationships across a broad set of interested parties
  • Ability to make connections in a highly matrixed environment
  • Executive presence, professional client service manner, demonstrated ability to take initiative
  • Strong persuasive communication skills; able to gain consensus through influence and pivot when warranted
  • Ability to manage multiple and complex projects concurrently

Qualifications include

  • The ideal candidate will have 15 years of experience in B2B marketing, (experience in professional services is a plus) with the ability to work in a matrixed organization with a virtual team
  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally with a focus in Marketing or a related business field
  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing and communications strategies and how they come together to provide measurable results
  • An innovative mindset that can think strategically with excellent follow-through skills
  • Proven experience developing and executing on strategic marketing plans
  • Experience in managing business operations including budgets and reporting
  • Strong persuasive written and verbal communication skills – confident presentation skills - able to expertly position and tell compelling stories and influence both internal and external audiences
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
