Work you’ll do : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EDI X12 Operations Specialists to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience(5+ years) with HIPAA, X12 transactions, enterprise healthcare systems, and X12 testing. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare claims processing and the ability to update companion guides.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless EDI operations.
- Work closely with operations team on daily ticket triage.
- Update incident and defect information.
- Prepare solution overview / summary for discussion with the business during weekly governance meetings.
- Oversee the integration and functionality of enterprise healthcare systems involving Fee-For-Service (FFS) claims and Encounters.
- Conduct thorough X12 testing to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Update and maintain companion guides to reflect current standards and practices.
- Provide expertise and guidance on EDI-related issues and projects.
- Develop and implement best practices for EDI processes and procedures.

In order to help clients reduce costs, improve health outcomes, and respond to public health crises, our Health Technology practice addresses critical health agency issues including: claims management, electronic health records, health information exchanges, health analytics, and health case management.
Basic Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
- Travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with HIPAA regulations and compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of X12 transactions, specifically 270/271, 276/277, 835, and 837.
- 5+ years of experience in triaging production issues involving complex scenarios.
- 5+ years of extensive experience with enterprise healthcare systems involving FFS claims and Encounters.
- Strong background in X12 testing and validation.
- 5+ years of experience in updating and maintaining companion guides.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
