Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Specialist I, Customer & Marketing, Human Services Transformation in Indianapolis, IN and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. 

Work You’ll Do

Drive database administration team in deployments of coding, cloning, refreshing, patching, backups, and restoration of multiple middleware components. Coordinate with technical and functional teams and able to understand the criticality of activities and schedule the same accordingly. Maintain system security, both technical and data security, by implementing security standards such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and multi-factor authentication. Design and develop data validation processes and perform data analysis and profiling to identify data gaps using data quality and data profiling tools to rectify data redundancies and anomalies. Perform cross-platform migration from different operating servers and character set migration. Provide expertise in such activities as maintaining instances, maintenance of file system and taking appropriate backups for security and consistency utilizing disaster recovery strategies and application load balancing concepts. Manage weekly cold backups of databases and performing database recovery activities. Perform database level user management; manage the profiles at user level, responsibility level and site level.

  • 80% travel required nationally.

Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, any STEM field or a related field. Two years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must have two years of experience with:

  • Driving configuration management team in deployments of coding on multiple middleware components, code merges, environment transitions, expedited release schedules, patching, backups, and performing all build and release management activities utilizing Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) pipeline, IBM Rational Jazz, Apache ANT, Batch Scripts, Source Control Command Line (SCM CL), Apache Subversion, IBM WebSphere, Java, Python, Apache Tomcat, and Jenkins;
  • Performing assessments of existing information systems and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities, and estimating time and resources needed for the development work;
  • Providing system quality by integrating code quality tools with development build cycles for early detection of faulty code utilizing SonarQube and Programming Mistake Detector (PMD), and coordinating with application team accordingly;
  • Preparing Shell scripts on AIX Linux remote servers for deployments and creating guidelines for build and release management of all application changes;
  • Administering source control, builds automation, requirements management, quality management, user profiles, and defect tracking associated with projects utilizing IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC), IBM Rational Requirements Composer (RRC), IBM Rational Quality Manager (RQM), and Atlassian Jira;
  • Isolating scripting errors with source code errors and facilitating timely delivery of solutions to multiple environments, including production, by handling complex environment issues resulting in limited system disruption;
  • Preparing ETL design, load strategy, data engineering for source systems, and deploying reports using informatica and IBM Cognos;
  • Driving technical aspects of project delivery, including testing programs and databases, and making modifications to resolve errors, utilizing Predefined Java scripts, IBM RTC, and SQL Developer;
  • Performing research and analysis and consulting with end-users and functional teams to develop technical specifications for automation, infrastructure as code and configuration, utilizing RTC Java APIs, IBM Jazz, Apache ANT, Chef, and Ansible;
  • Utilizing Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile processes to deliver projects across different phases of implementation, including vision, planning, requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and the deployment phase.
  • 80% travel required nationally.
