Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Specialist, Customer and Marketing, Digital Customer in Austin, TX and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. 

Work You’ll Do 

Interact with the database administration team in code deployment, cloning, refreshing, patching, backups, and restoration of multiple middleware SOA (Service oriented Architecture) components. Coordinate with technical and functional teams to understand and schedule activities based on criticality. Maintain technical and data system security by implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, and multi-factor authentication security standards. Design and develop data validation processes, perform data analysis and profiling to identify data gaps using data quality and data profiling tools to rectify data redundancies and anomalies. Conduct workshops with businesses to analyze existing landscape, source systems, business processes, and data flow jobs. Perform crossplatform migration from different operating servers and character sets. Provide expertise in maintaining instances, file systems, performing appropriate backups for security, consistent utilization of disaster recovery strategies, and application load balancing concepts. Manage backups of weekly database cold backups and perform database recovery activities. Perform database level user management, manage the profiles at user level, responsibility level, and site level. Perform short and long-term capacity planning in collaboration with development resources, system administrators, and system architects.

Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Computer Science, any STEM field or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

o Providing high availability and reliability in production environments by developing database systems using SQL Server, installing patches and cloning Oracle, MySQL (Structured Query Language), MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and SQL Developer;

o Configuring and upgrading databases in Oracle running on 11g ,12c,19c versions along with SQL Server, MySQL and MongoDB Non-Oracle databases;

o Performing database migration to AWS Cloud (Amazon Web Service) using AWS DMS (Database Migration Service) and AWS SCT (Schema Conversion Tool) to convert to target AWS RDS (Relational Database Services), Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redshift databases;

o Validating scalability and verifying reliability of backups and infrastructure through annual disaster recovery exercises;

o Performing database development using PL/SQL (Procedural Language), SQL, T-SQL (Transact), PL/pgSQL (Postgre), stored procedures, functions, triggers and other database objects;

o Automating routine tasks using Python, Shell scripting On-Prem (On-Premise), and AWS Cloud using AWS Lambda functions, and AWS CloudWatch;

o Configuring and automating event-driven and scheduled AWS Lambda functions to trigger various AWS resources;

o Participating in sprint planning and daily stand ups per Scrum standards for on-going projects and sprints; and

o Maintaining the database performance optimally for current infrastructure on Linux, RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux), Ubuntu, Windows, CentOS (Community Enterprise Operating System), and Cloud platforms.
