Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Specialist, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Drive software development and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of big technology investments, ranging from requirements to architecture, design to development, testing to deployment, and beyond as discrete services or comprehensive solutions. Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between workstreams and identify changes in scope. Lead the evaluation of technology needs, develop customized applications and draft technical and functional design documentation, and identify and mitigate process and technology risks. Perform assessments of existing information systems and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Design sub-components of larger application systems integrate software applications, and continuously optimize the system structure to improve stability and performance. Define systems strategy, develop system requirements, design, prototype, and test custom technology solutions, and support system implementation.

  • 80% Travel required nationally.

Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, any STEM field or a related field. Two years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must have two years of experience with:

  • Resolving production issues in mainframe based systems by conducting initial analysis, identifying root cause, and creating an appropriate fix by using Mainframe based technologies including COBOL (Common Business Oriented Language), IBM IMS (Information Management System), IBM Db2, JCL (Job Control Language, Control-M for scheduling job, CA PDSMAN (Partitioned Data Set library Management ) for dataset management, and Teradata;
  • Resolving production abend by identifying the cause, restarting batch abends, and creating RTC (Rational Team Concert) process template for abends root cause fix, using COBOL, IBM IMS, IBM Db2, JCL, and IBM RTC tool for tracking defects and requests;
  • Creating automation steps by utilizing COBOL, IBM Db2, JCL and screen macros;
  • Creating database call and query optimizations, identifying technical debts by code analysis using TSO (Time Sharing Option)/ISPF (Interactive System Productivity Facility), JCL, and CA PDSMAN;
  • Conducting root cause fixes by completing code and data analysis across process steps using TSO/ISPF and PDSMAN utility;
  • Providing QA (quality assurance) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) support by identifying the test data, setting up test environments, reviewing test results, and working on any test defects using COBOL, IBM IMS, IBM Db2, JCL, CA PDSMAN, and Teradata;
  • Designing, coding, and testing for mainframe systems by completing system and data analysis, creating and presenting design documents using COBOL, IBM Db2, IBM IMS, JCL, Microsoft (MS) SharePoint, MS Word, and MS Excel; and
  • Delivering project deliverables including technical responses, design documents, unit test plan/results, and impacted production data by analyzing the current process using COBOL, IBM Db2, IBM IMS, JCL, MS SharePoint, MS Word, and MS Excel.
