Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Specialist, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Los Angeles, California and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.


Work You’ll Do

Provide technology-enabled consulting services to clients in the Healthcare and Insurance sectors. Facilitate definition of requirements, use cases, product management, and functional specifications along with validation and testing services for clients. Create functional and technical design documents for the provided requirement and review test plan and test results to verify the changes. Perform development activities to complete technical changes and make the changes available for SIT (System Integrated Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing). Provide test support by narrowing down the root cause of the reported issue and solve any possible code or data issue.  Participate with release leads to work towards planning and providing necessary technical implementation support for release and deployment. Conduct post release activities to ensure successful implementation of the project and transition changes to service team.  

  • 80% Travel required nationally.

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering (Any), or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Reviewing business requirement specifications, creating project development effort estimates, and developing detailed design framework and test plans utilizing Jira, Microsoft (MS) SharePoint, ServiceNow, IBM FileNet Workplace, and the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process;
  • Developing design documentation, architecture flow diagrams, and providing feedback on solutions and changes required utilizing MS Office Tools, MS SharePoint, and MS Visio;
  • Providing solutions in the architecture analysis and design phases of projects, identifying and developing reusable modules or templates, and making code changes based on design and unit testing utilizing COBOL, JCL, DB2, IBM IMS DB (Information Management System Database Manager), IBM IMS DC (Information Management Data Communication), VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method), File-AID, IBM File Manager, File-AID for IMS, SORT Utility, FTP (File Transfer Protocol), Xpediter, IBM Fault Analyzer, IBM Debug Tool, SAR (SYSOUT Archival and Retrieval System), CA Dispatch, Control-M and Jira;
  • Performing software configuration and release management activities utilizing ChangeMan and Endevor version control tools;
  • Analyzing and preparing functional and technical design documents, test data, and test cases utilizing Jira, MS SharePoint, MS Office tools, and IBM IMS DC;
  • Monitoring system performance and performing root cause analysis for defects using Xpediter; and
  • Assisting with conducting Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, creating and modifying new and existing design documentation.
