Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Manager II, Core Business Operations, Core Industry Solutions in Sacramento, California and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally. 


Work You’ll Do

Manage information technology projects, including efforts in connection to new releases and mitigating production defects. Lead and participate in JAD (Joint Application Design) sessions with stakeholders to finalize scope of new requirements, estimates, delivery timelines, and external partner coordination. Interact with internal stakeholders to produce functional and technical specifications for new requirements, build and deliver functionality and provide support during all phases of testing, production deployment, and post-production activity. Architect, design, and develop software applications enhancing functionality and support external interface partners. Design, plan, and estimate migration of monolithic applications to micro services and of on-premises applications to AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud. Execute information technology project planning using MS Project and conducting review estimation.

  • 80% travel required nationally.

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, any STEM field or a related field. Three (3) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative the employer is willing to accept a Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience. Must have three (3) years of experience with:

  • Architecting and designing Java, J2EE, Web Service, WebLogic Portal, and AWS application for onpremises WebLogic 10.3.6  12 as well as AWS serverless or Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instance deployable;
  • Developing applications using Spring, Spring MVC (Model-View-Controller), Spring Batch, Spring Boot, SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol), REST (Representational State Transfer), AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, AWS S3 (Simple Storage Service), JSP (JavaServer Pages), and Node.js;
  • Performing code quality measurement using SonarQube quality gate and Eclipse EclEmma plugin for Junit coverage tools;  
  • Performing Unit testing, Regression testing, and defect resolution in HPQC (Quality Center) and IBM RTC (Rational Team Concert) for standard and custom developments;
  • Performing code merge from parent to child release as well as parallel releases using Git and Jenkins and stabilizing the development build;
  • Leading and participating in JAD sessions with clients and sponsors to finalize new requirement scope, estimation, and delivery timelines, and documenting the session outcomes in IBM RTC; and
  • Develop functional and technical specifications for custom development and interface with external systems using Axure & Visio tools to cater to unique business requirements.
