Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Manager, Customer & Marketing, Human Services Transformation in Boston, MA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

TRANSFORMING HOW CLIENTS DELIVER SERVICES TO CUSTOMERS. DELIVERING LARGE, COMPLEX SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT AND TRANSFORMATION PROJECTS TO HUMAN SERVICE AGENCIES ACROSS FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. PARTNERING WITH CLIENTS TO TRANSFORM SERVICE DELIVERY TO THOSE MOST IN NEED. MANAGING DAY TO DAY INTERACTIONS WITH EXECUTIVE CLIENTS AND SPONSORS. MANAGING AND DELIVERING COMPONENTS OF CLIENT ENGAGEMENTS THAT IDENTIFY, DESIGN, AND IMPLEMENT TECHNOLOGY AND CREATIVE BUSINESS SOLUTIONS FOR LARGE COMPANIES. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, MANAGING TEAMS IN THE IDENTIFICATION OF BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS, FUNCTIONAL DESIGN, PROCESS DESIGN (INCLUDING SCENARIO DESIGN, FLOW MAPPING), PROTOTYPING, TESTING, TRAINING, DEFINING SUPPORT PROCEDURES. PARTICIPATING AND LEADING ASPECTS OF THE PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT PROCESS. CONTRIBUTING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROPOSAL PRICING STRATEGIES. PERFORMING ASSESSMENTS OF EXISTING INFORMATION SYSTEMS, AND IDENTIFYING GAPS BETWEEN BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS AND CURRENT SYSTEM CAPABILITIES. FUNCTIONING AS INTEGRATORS BETWEEN BUSINESS NEEDS AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, HELPING TO CREATE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS TO MEET CLIENTS BUSINESS NEEDS. DEFINING SYSTEMS STRATEGY, DEVELOPING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS, PROCESSING DESIGN, PROTOTYPING, AND TESTING CUSTOM TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, AND SUPPORTING SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION. CREATING PROJECT CHARTERS, SCHEDULES, AND PLANS, DEFINING PROJECT TASKS, ALLOCATING RESOURCES AND MONITOR PROJECT PROGRESS. WRITING FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS AND USE CASES, CREATING PROCESS FLOW DIAGRAMS AND FINALIZING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS. PERFORMING CONCEPTUAL AND TECHNICAL DESIGNS, INCLUDING THE USE OF OBJECT-ORIENTED ANALYSIS AND DESIGN TECHNIQUES. TRACKING APPLICATION DEFECTS USING DEFECT TRACKING TOOLS, COORDINATING DEFECT RESOLUTION EFFORTS, AND DOCUMENTING RESOLUTION DETAILS. IDENTIFYING AND RECORDING KEY DEADLINES FOR THE WORKSTREAM IN THE CLIENT ENGAGEMENT TO ENSURE CLEAR COMMUNICATION, ORGANIZATION, AND COORDINATION BETWEEN MULTIPLE PARTIES, AND CONSTRUCTING A WORK PLAN AROUND THEM THAT WILL QUICKLY AND EFFECTIVELY ACHIEVE CLIENT GOALS WHILST ALSO ALLOWING FOR REASONABLE WORK TIME AND UNEXPECTED DELAYS OR PIVOTS. MANAGING THE SERVICE TRANSITION FROM ERP IMPLEMENTATION TEAM TO APPLICATION MANAGEMENT SERVICES TEAM COORDINATING WITH OFFSHORE COUNTERPARTS. MANAGING PROJECT DELIVERY FROM THE WORKLOAD AND RESOURCE PERSPECTIVE INCLUDING MANAGING THE WORKLOAD ASSIGNMENT OF RESOURCES ON THE PROJECT AND ORGANIZING TEAM MEETINGS. CREATING PLANS TO MITIGATE RISKS AND ISSUES OVER THE COURSE OF THE PROJECT AND MANAGING THE SCOPE USING CHANGE MANAGEMENT PROCESSES. COMMUNICATING WITH STAKEHOLDERS TO PROVIDE ACCURATE REPORTING AND INFORMATION SHARING REGARDING THE ONGOING PROJECT ACTIVITIES, RISKS AND INITIATIVES. MANAGING THE SLAS, AND MOTIVATING RESOURCES IN SUPPORT OF TIMELINE AND PROJECT DELIVERABLES, COORDINATING, NEGOTIATING WITH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS AND USE WIN-WIN APPROACH TO NEGOTIATE/RESOLVE CONFLICTS. ADHERING TO QUALITY PROCESSES AND EVD METHODOLOGY TO ENSURE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AS PER THE GUIDELINES DEFINED BY QUALITY AND RISK MANAGEMENT TEAM. LEADING DELOITTE INTERNAL PROJECT EVALUATIONS AND YEAR-END APPRAISAL PROCESS INCLUDING EVALUATING THEIR STRENGTHS, DEVELOPMENT AREAS, OVERALL CONTRIBUTIONS, AND PROMOTION RECOMMENDATIONS. ESTABLISHING THE OVERALL REPORTING STRUCTURE AND COLLABORATING WITH SENIOR MANAGEMENT TO SET-UP THE OVERALL PROCESS FOR TRACKING THE METRICS OF INCIDENTS AND ENHANCEMENTS AND VALUE ENHANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES.

Requirements

REQUIRES A MASTER'S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, ANY STEM DEGREE, OR A RELATED FIELD AND THREE (3) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. IN THE ALTERNATIVE, THE EMPLOYER WILL ACCEPT A BACHELOR'S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) AND FIVE (5) YEARS OF PROGRESSIVELY RESPONSIBLE RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE. MUST ALSO HAVE THREE (3) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE INVOLVING EACH OF THE FOLLOWING: ANALYZING THE EXISTING CODE AND CREATING REQUIREMENT DOCUMENTS BASED ON EXISTING FUNCTIONALITY AND CLIENT REQUIREMENTS AS PER BUSINESS NEEDS; DESIGNING AND IMPLEMENTING CORE-BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS IN OPERATIONAL DECISION MANAGER (ODM) AND/OR JRULES USING BUSINESS RULES, DECISION TABLES AND RULE FLOWS; CREATING AND MAINTAINING JAVA BUILD AND DEPLOYMENT SCRIPTS USING MAVEN AND ANT TOOLS; CREATING AND REVIEWING THE DESIGN DOCUMENT INCLUDING UNIFIED MODELING LANGUAGE (UML) CLASS AND SEQUENCE DIAGRAMS; CREATING UNIT TEST CASES USING JUNIT AND EASYMOCK FRAMEWORK AND TRACKING DEFECTS USING JIRA AND RATIONAL CLEARQUEST TOOLS; SETTING UP JAVA FRAMEWORK AND TOOLS TO CONVERT EXISTING ELIGIBILITY BUSINESS FUNCTIONALITY IN COMMON BUSINESS-ORIENTED LANGUAGE (COBOL) TECHNOLOGY TO JAVA AND J2EE TECHNOLOGY; DESIGNING AND DEVELOPING JAVA APPLICATIONS USING WEBLOGIC, WEBSPHERE, TOMCAT AND APACHE WEBSERVER AND USING STRUTS, SPRING, HIBERNATE AND MYBATIS FRAMEWORKS AND ORACLE AND DB2 DATABASES; DEFINING AND IMPLEMENTING PROCESSING IN ACCORDANCE WITH SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT (SLA) AND KPIS TO ENSURE DEADLINES ARE MET.
