Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Manager, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Dallas, Texas and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Identify and manage information technology project dependencies, critical paths and risks. Participate in the development of policies, standards, and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation, and use of architecture technologies within the division. Identify and remove impediments, preventing distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver sprint and project goals. Lead, coach, and mentor members of the application project team. Develop and manage mission critical web applications. Drive successful information technology project delivery against scope, timescale and budget. Delivery of all technology related aspects of projects with specific focus on and expertise in delivery of IT infrastructure-related projects. Collaborate with development teams to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Lead development of data processing systems and interfaces, which support data science efforts, with a focus on enabling scalable, high performance, distributed computing environments. Administer system objectives for projects, implement Java and J2EE applications and provide strategies for all performance applications.

Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Engineering (Any), any STEM field or a related field and three (3) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative the employer will accept a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) and five (5) years of progressive related work experience. Must have three (3) years of experience with:

  • Developing and maintaining generic data pipelines and frameworks using Apache Spark, Python, Apache Kafka, Apache Hive, and Apache Impala open source tools on public Cloud platforms;
  • Collaborating with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions;
  • Organizing and facilitating release planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint planning, demos, and other Scrum related activities;
  • Augmenting data distribution and processing using web and mobile application full stack development tools, including Java, Microservices, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS , Spring, Python, Spark, Hive, Oracle, SQL Server (Structured Query Language), MongoDB, Impala, Hadoop, HDFS (Hadoop Distributed File System), Informatica, SAP, Machine Learning, and AWS Cloud frameworks;
  • Designing and developing with full ownership of software architecture, backend Microservices and API, using Java Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST (Representational State Transfer), JSON (JavaScript Object Notation), Docker, Kubernetes, NoSQL (not only SQL), SQL Server, Oracle, and Tomcat;
  • Building UI (User Interface) using Angular or React with JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS/SCSS (Cascading Style Sheets/Sass CSS), and HTML (Hypertext Markup Language);
  • Developing API driven Microservices on Spring Framework, deploying CI (continuous integration)/CD (continuous deployment), testing automation, building automation and test-driven development DevOps practices to enable the rapid delivery of working code utilizing Jenkins, Git, Kubernetes, and Docker;
  • Coordinating and tracking initiation, requirements gathering, design, solution setup, configuration, testing, change management, and deployment of web-application projects; and
  • Leveraging Jira project management software system to initiate sprints, review user stories and tasks, apply time estimates, and update Agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs.
