Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Project Delivery Manager, Core Business Operations, System Engineering in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Focuses on software system implementation and strategy, with an aim to unlock the value of big technology investments as discrete services or comprehensive solutions for telecom industry. Evaluate the technology needs of an organization, developing strategies to increase the company's profitability and design and implement plans to comply with legislation and ensure business growth. Manage and deliver components of engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business solutions for large companies. Participate in creating Statements of Work (SOW), proposal development process, proposal pricing strategies and client presentations. Define, track, and ensure deliverables are properly maintained and of high quality. Identify and communicate risks and provide mitigation plans, handle client and project interactions, hand-off calls with offshore teams, status monitoring and reporting, and create certification reports.

  • 80% Travel required nationally.

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, any STEM field or a related field. Three years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in a stated field and five years of progressive related work experience involving each of the following:

Must have three years of related experience with:

  • Managing information technology projects including software testing and implementation services to help companies unlock the value of technology investments as discrete services or comprehensive solutions in the insurance, financial services, healthcare, State and Local government, telecom, and retail industries;
  • Leading billing transformations, product implementation and managing core business support system (BSS) components including customer management, order management, revenue management and product management;
  • Managing end-to-end telecom architectural changes to provide assistance with tests conducted, architectural changes and their potential impacts, mandate applications, and financial activities using MS Office Suite, JIRA and Confluence;
  • Participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for software applications, including requirement gathering, application configuration design, business process analysis, scripting, code deployments, enhancement validation, triage of defects, change requests, escalations and resolutions of urgent issues, utilizing Microsoft (MS) Office Suite, SharePoint, and HP Application Life Cycle Management (ALM);
  • Improving internal processes, and promoting knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence; and
  • Configuring and designing skills to collaborate cross functionally with external clients and internal stakeholders across both business and technical organizations and cross-geography teams.
