Deloitte & Touche LLP seeks a Product Owner in Princeton, NJ.

 

Work You’ll Do

Work closely with agile team to provide guidance on implementation and validation of backlog items and deliver each product increment; align and influence stakeholders and resources globally;  define and prioritize product backlogs; document user stories and acceptance criteria; assess audit journey challenges and define an evolving strategy in assigned areas of product ownership; prepare and participate in release and sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and other agile events; monitor key performance metrics to ensure product performance and identify optimization opportunities; drive adoption and ensure processes for users are easy and intuitive; develop comprehensive product plans, business cases, and business goals and effectively prioritize and manage the scope of each product launch to deliver key capabilities on time and on budget using Agile and SCRUM methodologies; gather and analyze requirements and convert business requirements into technical design, architectural patterns, and functional/non-functional/technical user stories; participate in strategic design process to translate business needs into technical systems solutions; manage applications and products throughout their life-cycle, ensuring business relevance, adoption and continuous improvement; design, develop and implement comprehensive system solutions to address enterprise-wide technical requirements relating to SQL, big data, business intelligence, and overall digital transformation on both on-premise and enterprise cloud platforms; collaborate with SCRUM teams including Development, Architecture, QA, and deployment resources, during product development and production roll-out phases to ensure that business goals are met; review respective artifacts and code; and identify facts and dimensions tables that store structured and unstructured data from heterogeneous sources for use in predictive analytics using machine learning algorithms and in BI and visualization tools such as Power Pivot and Power BI for reporting purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Five years of experience in implementing agile processes, including SCRUM methodologies.
  • Experience must include five years of:
    • Building product vision and strategy roadmaps for enterprise Audit IT applications;
    • Gathering and assessing requirements to perform technical feasibility analysis and creating technical specification documents;
    • Building big data solutions, including processing and visualizing large datasets, utilizing agile software development methodology;
    • Developing test strategies, test approaches, and unit/functional test cases to validate reliability, scalability, and accuracy of developed product increments;
    • Developing data transformation packages to perform data quality checks and automating the conversion of raw client audit data to a format to be used for audit analysis and audit reporting utilizing Trifacta or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS);
    • Developing proofs of concepts to determine feasibility, find solutions to technical problems, and ensure developed solutions satisfy certain requirements;
    • Designing and creating SQL databases, tables, indexes, and views for database normalization and security;
    • Designing, developing, and utilizing software systems to customize business applications, including Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), Azure, Power BI, and .Net environment;
    • Performing system analysis to determine if existing systems are in compliance with the latest architecture; and
    • Implementing and preparing system design and data design utilizing Azure Data Lake Store.
  • In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Master's degree and three years of experience as stated above.
