This role will be aligned to the product management team of Deloitte’s Intellect suite within our ConvergeHEALTH practice.  ConvergeHEALTH is Deloitte Consulting’s healthcare innovation and technology product arm and is committed to creating health care systems that connect patients, providers, researchers, regulators, and payors across digital platforms to make value-based, personalized health care a reality. The Intellect suite is a growing portfolio of subscription-based, hosted analytics applications that include Revenue Intellect and Care Intellect, among others. They are specifically focused on driving value in the health care provider space – from revenue cycle optimization to clinical variation management.

As a Product Owner working with our Intellect suite of provider analytics products, you will play a critical role in helping design, build, support and deliver analytics solutions for our health care provider clients. The right candidate will help us define these products in detail, work with product and engineering teams on detailed specification and build, and work with product marketing/delivery teams on launch and customer adoption.

You should have the ability to collaborate and align with technical and non-technical stakeholders, experience translating customer needs into technical product requirements, and working with engineering to build and deliver world-class products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key hands-on role in the agile software development lifecycle, including writing user stories, grooming backlogs, running daily stand-ups, conducting sprint reviews / showcases and other similar activities.
  • Work with internal engineering team/product development team on product build lifecycles, and assist in tasks necessary to make a developed product market ready
  • Take a high-level idea or requirement, and engage with various stakeholders to scope out the idea (including detailed requirements, mockups, prototypes, etc.) to a level of detail needed for engineering teams to go through development
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on customer/decision-maker/end-user feedback and manage success and evolution of products in the marketplace.
  • Develop product collateral, including new feature presentations, sales documents, marketing materials, and be able to give product demonstrations to various stakeholder groups.
  • Initiate comprehensive assessments of health care industry trends, and work with various internal and external stakeholders to identify market needs and business requirements, which will be used to inform and shape product roadmap

We Expect You To Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from a top-tier university; Advanced Degree is a plus – equivalent work experience may act as a substitute to degree requirements
  • 2+ years of proven success in a fast-paced, healthcare-related product management, management consulting or startup environment
  • Experience working closely with engineering/product teams to define applications and tools and manage them through the entire product life cycle (ideation through implementation)
  • Comfort operating in a techno-functional role, where you can leverage technical skills (SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.) to help prototype/ proof-of-concept new offerings while also holding a firm grasp of the business need related to the offerings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated, energetic, passionate team-oriented personality and working style
  • Proven ability to successfully partner with internal stakeholders from various parts of the organization and drive successful outcomes
  • Ability to juggle many competing priorities/deadlines and operate under ambiguous circumstances
  • Willingness to travel (25%) periodically – as future will allow given current COVID19 restrictions
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

We’d Like You To Have:

  • Experience in agile and other relevant software development methodologies/frameworks, and use of agile software development productivity tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Experience with healthcare data / clinical operations / revenue cycle concepts, and a general interest in the healthcare industry
  • Experience with development of products involving data analytics and visualization
  • Experience crafting impactful PowerPoint presentations
