Position Summary

Hybrid-Operate is a division within Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory (RFA) that delivers next-generation managed services and innovative technology solutions to help clients effectively monitor, manage, and measure complex risk. 

Work you’ll do

The Hybrid-Operate Pricing Manager is responsible for the development and support of complex pricing models for Deloitte’s portfolio of Managed Services with an emphasis in eDiscovery and Legal Services. You will work directly with solution teams to support the overall pricing strategy during the sales cycle to Deloitte clients and markets. Here are just some to the things you will be doing:

  • Oversee the day-to-day pricing activities and strategies for new client opportunities and renegotiations
  • Support the Hybrid-Operate Deal Desk in developing pricing models for Deloitte’s Managed Services
  • Participate in RFP responses to validate pricing models and strategies
  • Develop complex financial models to price and cost strategic Deloitte Advisory Hybrid-Operate offerings
  • Work with the offering leaders to design solution specific value pricing strategies for Hybrid-Operate offerings
  • Participate in workshops with current industry offering owners led by the Hybrid-Operate Offering Development Lead to understand Managed Services potential for various potential offerings
  • Perform financial analysis and developed commercial proposals & business cases for large, strategic & complex deals
  • Support proposal teams with pricing model development and act as a critical resource in the development of deal pricing
  • Partner with offering leaders to develop continuous monitoring on results and profitability of different pricing strategies and models.

The Team

The Hybrid-Operate Deal Desk is responsible for pricing all managed services engagements within the hybrid-operate portfolio. You will operate as a member of a team that includes pricing engineers, pricing consultants and pricing VPs that are responsible for all aspects of deal pricing, strategy, and crafting while working with opportunity pursuit teams and portfolio leadership.



  • Bachelor’s or higher-level degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of eDiscovery experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the eDiscovery lifecycle including collection, processing, review, and production
  • Fundamental understanding of pricing constructs and how providers develop pricing models in the eDiscovery market
  • Demonstrated understanding of Managed Services based value pricing parameters; including pricing constructs that support Managed Services unit pricing and committed offering based outcomes
  • Industry experience in the development of pricing models and strategy for complex managed service offerings and performing granular financial analysis
  • Elevated understanding of operational complexities and measurable success criteria to ensure costing models are reflective of the true cost of a managed service offering
  • Fundamental awareness of finance, accounting concepts, and contracting terms/norms
  • Communicate effectively to all levels of staff and management
  • Balance multiple pricing requests and other responsibilities
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to describe complex technical concepts and ideas in non-technical terms
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Travel up to 10% (While 10% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)


  • Understanding of corporate law department operations
  • Understanding of eDiscovery processes, tools, and systems
  • Exceedingly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including use of sophisticated macros and other functionality using Visual Basic and advanced formulas
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Experience in professional services firm
