Position Summary

Power, Utilities & Renewables – OMS Integration Tester/Analyst

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ years’ experience working with Electric utilities
  • 1+ years’ experience in software testing
  • Experience developing test cases and test scripts
  • Experience logging and managing defects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to research, create, and deliver professional quality documents, presentations, and reports
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks, potentially across multiple projects and initiatives
  • Experience implementing software in a client-facing project environment
  • Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, etc.), especially in the Design/Build, Test, and Deployment phases
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Travel up to 50%, dependent upon client/project needs (due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Urban Planning, or a directly related field
  • 1+ years’ experience in integration testing
  • Experience developing test strategies and test plans
  • Experience working with defect management tools such as Azure, HP ALM, and/or JIRA
  • Experience working with Esri ArcGIS and Oracle NMS
  • Experience working with electric GIS data models
  • Knowledge of Schneider Electric’s ArcFM extension
  • Knowledge of Esri’s Utility Network

The Power, Utilities & Renewables (PU&R) sector is undergoing significant regulatory changes while shifts in outage management are causing many industry leaders to rethink their governance models. Customer expectations for digital connectivity and ease of access are driving business process redesign around the customer experience. Connectivity to the grid is key, and companies are adopting new strategies for asset maintenance and more efficient methods of energy generation and distribution. Deloitte provides a large majority of the Fortune 500 PU&R companies with Consulting services now, but moving forward, we have launched a growth strategy to at least double our revenue over the next 3-5 years. By working with Deloitte’s Offering Portfolios to update our mix of services to our clients (digital technologies, SAP HANA, Cloud, Grid, and Operations technologies), we are committed to helping our clients work with newly empowered customers, hyper-connected digital ecosystems, and expansion in data.
