Work you’ll do

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization supports our business, market and enabling area leaders with world class financial and decision support. The Planning & Forecasting (P&F) COE provides expertise across financial analysis, planning, financial technology and management reporting.

The P&F team owns the end-to-end planning and forecasting process, leverage best practices and innovation for continuous process improvement, and provide meaningful analysis and insight to business partners and leadership on plan and forecast. P&F will lead the development and implementation of new planning & forecasting tools and technologies as well as represent business interests in financial tool maintenance and upgrades.

About the Team

The Financial Planning & Analysis Business Partner organization provides specialized finance-related services in support of the business leaders of the firm.

Job Responsibilities 

In providing Planning & Forecasting expertise to Finance Leadership, Firm Leaders and Business Partners:

  • Consolidates and analyzes plan and forecast submissions in support of leadership review
  • Understands the firm’s forecast and plan to provide insight and analysis to firm leaders
  • Enhances consistency and effectiveness of planning and forecasting across Business groups through planning support and sharing of best practices
  • Continuously improve the planning and forecasting organizational efficiency and effectiveness by leading internal change initiatives
  • Liaises with other COEs and Business Partners, as appropriate, when developing and / or changing policies, programs or processes

In designing, developing, maintaining, and improving the planning & forecasting process & system:

  • Actively teams with and supports project team
  • Leads the development of a detailed and strategic redesign of a best-practice, consistent and effective planning and forecasting process
  • Builds out a detailed design of a planning and forecasting system solution. Plays a subject matter expert role across full systems lifecycle - from defining business requirements, confirming system design and implementation planning & rollout
  • Demonstrates active ownership over final system design and implementation
  • Represents business interests in system maintenance and design and implementation of system upgrades
  • Identify and prioritize business challenges, risks and opportunities to recommend action plans as it relates to planning and forecasting tools, and improved processes
  • Provide system support including data management and user support/training

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant finance experience, preferably in a professional services firm
  • Extensive experience effectively utilizing financial systems for operations, financial analysis and data extraction
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in Excel and Financial applications, along with strong analytical, project management and organizational skills; knowledge of SAP BPC is a plus
  • Working knowledge with Power Point and developing leadership level presentations
  • Demonstrated experience in working with management, supporting senior leadership needs
  • Demonstrated experience teaming with a project and / or product support team
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:

  • Information management: Strong technical skills and effective data management are required, specifically the ability to develop complex modeling/reporting in Excel, and create effective presentations in Power Point

Technology & Other Requirements 

  • Understanding of SAP, BPC, and other financial applications
  • Advanced / expertise level in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Focus and interest in identifying and learning new tools and technologies
