Position Summary

Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) – Personal Monitoring Manager

Work you’ll do

As an ICN Personal Monitoring Manager on the Audits Team, you’ll use your analytical, research, investigative and leadership skills to:

  • Co-manage a large domestic and international team of professionals who perform over 1,700 personal independence audits annually.
  • Draft monthly and annual production projections and set monthly audit allocations for each auditor. Determine staff capacity/bandwidth and communicate staffing needs to team leadership.
  • Closely monitor team productivity against targets to ensure all personal independence audits are completed timely to meet mandatory PCAOB and DTTL deadlines.
  • Manage the audit selections process and ensure all sampling requirements from the DTTL Inspection & Testing guidelines are met annually.
  • Communicate changes to independence policy and the impact on the audit process timely to the team.
  • Perform final high-level reviews to ensure personal independence audits are performed according to DTTL Inspection & Testing guidelines.
  • Work with senior management and team leadership to develop, train, and assign projects to Lead analysts and below, while motivating and providing career coaching and guidance.
  • Identify, manage, and execute potential enhancements to the existing personal independence monitoring audit process and/or technology tools.
  • Lead and execute special projects as requested by team leadership, including opportunities to build more efficiencies into the personal independence audit process.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors’ degree (preferably accounting, business or finance)
  • 5 to 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and supervising a team
  • Strong oral and written communications
  • Proven ability to multi-task among competing priorities
  • Ability to operate independently, and as a part of a team, while thriving in a fast paced, highly flexible organization
  • Outstanding attention to detail along with strong technical, investigative, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • An understanding of compliance requirements for professional auditing firms
  • Knowledge of financial instruments, such as equities, fixed income, brokerage accounts, etc.
  • A basic understanding of U.S. Federal individual tax returns
  • Experience within a partnership, navigating a matrixed environment

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,425 to $141,975

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
