Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) – Personal Consultation Senior Analyst

Work you’ll do
As a Personal Consultation Senior Analyst, you’ll use your analytical, research and investigative skills to:
- Analyze the permissibility of Private Investments such as those pertaining to Employee Benefit Plans, Real Estate Investment Trusts and Hedge Funds.
- Provide guidance and advice to professionals with respect to their monitoring of their Private Investments in order to remain compliant with independence policy.
- Work closely with ICN Managers and Partner, Principal or Managing Director’s (PPMD) on the independence review to gather insight and clarity on consultations involving personal financial matters.
- Independently perform analysis, document conclusions, and consistently prepare high quality communications and propose next steps with input from PPMD or manager / senior manager as needed
- Track and report on the aging and completion of consultations and discussions as well as identify and communicate priorities with parties involved
- Develop an enhanced understanding of SEC and PCAOB Rules and Deloitte US Firms Independence policies
- Attend policy setting meetings, perform research and assist in the further development of procedures and implement improvements based on emerging independence issues

Independence & Conflicts Network
The Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) Personal Consultation team performs a critical consultative, quality-assurance and risk-management function for the Deloitte US Firms, helping the organization remain unbiased and free from conflicts-of-interest, in fact and appearance, when providing services to attest/audit clients. Independence requirements are defined by specific sets of policies, external rules and regulations, so maintaining both the independence of the Deloitte US Firms and personal independence is essential to the business and reputation of Deloitte.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors’ degree (preferably accounting, finance or business)
- Minimum 3+ years of related experience
- Strong oral and written communications
- Outstanding attention to detail along with strong technical. organizational and analysis skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP standards
- An understanding of Independence requirements for professional auditing firms
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York state Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York state, takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000 to $123,200.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
