Work you’ll do:
As a Paraprofessional within the Business Tax Services group, you will be involved in all stages of tax return preparation and will have additional administrative responsibilities to assist the tax team in supporting their client engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist client engagement team with processing of all Federal & State Income Tax Compliance
- Assist client engagement team with managing Tax Calendar for all Federal & State Income Tax Compliance
- Assist with preparation of corporation annual reports and LLC vouchers
- Assist client engagement team with recurring projects
- Use internal technology to update / maintain client and vendor records
- Coordinate updates and changes to internal technology that maintains client records
- Interact with client in person and via e-mail
- Perform various administrative tasks for the client engagement team
- Coordinate and Prioritize office tasks and related matters with other administrative team members
- Monitoring progress of projects assigned by Management Group
The Team:
Business Tax Services (“BTS”) is a national practice within Deloitte Tax. Deloitte delivers a holistic and coordinated approach to complex tax issues. BTS subject matter and industry specialists provide services relevant to the multiple jurisdictions and countries where our clients do business. We assist clients with their global tax challenges and help them to transform their tax department and to create greater impact for their organization. Our spectrum of business tax services is relevant for public and private companies, and range from tax planning to tax compliance, controversy, and risk management, including tax credits, government incentives, and tax management consulting.
Qualifications
Required
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week
- 5+ years of experience supporting the preparation of tax returns and extensions, drafting tax correspondence and tax contracts, and managing the filing and submission process of tax materials
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law, business administration, economics, or related field
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
- If not CPA eligible:
- Licensed Attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Certifications:
- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Paralegal certification
Preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple, competing priorities
- Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated analytical and research skills, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and proactively develop internal and external working relationships
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new technology solutions
- Bilingual in Spanish and English

At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $47,390 to $88,010.
