We work as trusted advisors to CFO’s, COO’s, CIO’s and other key executives to advise, implement, and deliver as-a service solutions, improving finance, shared service and real estate operations, and helping clients develop strategies to support enterprise-wide decision making

Work you’ll do

As a Senior Consultant, you’ll work with diverse global clients across a wide range of industries. You will have a variety of client-facing responsibilities such as diagnosing issues using advanced analytical techniques, interviewing staff, formulating, and making recommendations, and helping clients implement proposed solutions.

The team

Our Finance and Performance team works as a trusted advisor to CFOs, COOs, CIOs, and key executives. We advise, implement, and deliver as-a-service solutions, helping our clients develop strategies and capabilities to support enterprise-wide decision-making, improve finance operations, and create impact within their organization.

Finance Insights & Transformation

Our FI&T team transforms Finance from function to dynamic capability. As finance cycles converge, we advise, implement, and operate best-in-class solutions across actuals and forecast to accelerate insights including finance and analytics, planning, FP&A as-a-service, finance technology strategy, and ERP-enabled finance transformation.

Qualifications

Required:

• Five plus years of relevant FP&A experience which includes two or more years of consulting experience in a professional services environment, with a large or boutique consulting firm, or serving as an internal consultant within industry

• Implementation experience with Oracle Cloud EPM products with at least one full life-cycle oracle planning cloud implementation

• Relevant experience in technology implementation methodology and cycles (Development, Testing, Documentation, Cutover, Deployment, Hypercare)

• Success leading implementations by gathering system and business requirements, design, and build Planning Cloud solutions including writing calculation scripts and building applications from end-to-end

• Ability to translate technology functionality into process improvements

• Ability to translate process requirements into technology functionality

• Ability to travel up to 50%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:

• Five or more years of experience in a professional services environment, with a large or boutique consulting firm, or serving as an internal consultant within industry

• Experience with Oracle Products such as Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) or Enterprise Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS). If EPBCS then business rules and Groovy experience needed. If PBCS then Financial Close & Consolidation-Account Reconciliation Cloud FCC/ARC experience needed

• Experience writing Business Rules within an Oracle Cloud EPM Product

• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud (FCCS), and/or Financial Data Quality Management

• Relevant experience implementing one or more EPM Technologies

• Understanding of finance business processes, including forecasting and budgeting cycles, and actual corporate reporting requirements

• A demonstrated resource in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines

• Proven experience in terms of Project Management (Resource, Scope, Budget), with emphasis on tech implementation solutions

• Proven experience interacting and communicating with both business-oriented and IT-oriented clients

• Proven track record of success in identifying and addressing client needs and developing EPM solutions that solve complex business problems

• Understanding of system deployment methodologies (Agile, Hybrid Agile, Waterfall)

• Relevant knowledge or experience in ETL/Data Transformation tools and databases

• Relevant knowledge or experience in Data Governance

• Relevant Knowledge on Oracle EPM tools that enable compliance checks and process (Audit Logs, SOX, etc.)

• Relevant knowledge or experience as a Data Base Administrator

• Relevant knowledge or experience of Data Architecture

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and assignments

• Outstanding critical thinking, analytics, and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills; professional competence in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $119,025 to $198,375.
