Work you’ll do
- Oracle DBA: This full-time Oracle database administrative position will challenge the candidate to expand their skillsets and learn new technologies in a fast-paced and friendly environment.
- The successful candidate remains up-to-date on vendor technologies and recommended best practices in a highly-available, enterprise environment.
- The successful candidate for this position will be solid in Oracle and familiar with MySQL and EDB/PostgreSQL.
- Oracle DBA responsibilities including design, installation, configuration, administration, patching, upgrades, tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting) with the Oracle Enterprise Database in a UNIX environment on physical and virtual servers; similar skills are required for MySQL and EDB/PostgreSQL
- Oracle 12c, 19c including Multitenant, RAC, DataGuard, Grid Infrastructure, Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM) and Oracle Automatic Storage Management Cluster File System (ACFS)
- Strong backup and recovery experience using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) with Veritas NetBackup
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree required with 7 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of Oracle DBA experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security clearance
- Must be able to sit onsite in Radford, VA
- Required Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+
- Computing Environment (CE) Certification (i.e., MCSE, Server+, etc.) – can be waived for 30 days after project join date.
