Position Summary

Work you’ll do 

  • Responsible for the design, installation, maintenance and support of the Network infrastructure for the Local Area and Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN). Responsible for the security, utilization and evaluation of all equipment and systems within the Network.
  • Manage, maintain and monitor network infrastructure to include, but not limited to: firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, Proxy’s, wireless access points, Internet circuits, server rooms and network closets
  • Perform project management responsibilities in regards to progression of implementation activities of WAN/LAN hardware along with associated operating systems. Responsible for the maintenance and upgrades of network hardware and operating systems while ensuring compliance with all support agreements for the network infrastructure.
  • Solid grasp of all aspects of LAN and WAN operation, routing, topology, network protocols, active network and point-to-point components, and various aspects of telephony, including, but not limited to: TCP/IP, VPN, routers, gateways, switches, firewalls, Ethernet Standards, MPLS, etc.
  • Must have experience with Cisco IOS-XE switches & routers, Nexus, ASA Firewall, & Palo Alto Firewall.  Optional additional experience with Palo Alto Cortex XDR, Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, Juniper, BigIP F5, Citrix ADC, Splunk, Tenable, etc. will be taken into consideration.
  • Configure firewalls via Panorama management software
  • Experience managing network tools in an enterprise environment that include: firewalls, IDS/IPS, assessment, and scanning tools
  • Troubleshoot routing and switching in a multi-site environment, as well as network connectivity with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure, and remote Disaster Recovery environments
  • Provide specific, detailed recommendations for Palo Alto and network related hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

Qualifications 

Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future 
  • Secret Clearance 
  • Ability to travel 20-30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

 

Preferred: 

  • Monitor IT Infrastructure service performance including network availability, reliability, quality, and capacity
  • Maintain technical expertise in Palo Alto Network technologies, or other areas of expertise.
