Position Summary

Talent Temporary Workforce - Deloitte Advisory PPMD Matters Specialist

This is a temporary salaried opportunity to join Deloitte Services LP for a short-term assignment. Temporary employees are not eligible for Deloitte’s health benefits, life insurance, PTO or subsidies offered through the Health & Fitness program. They are, however, covered under Deloitte’s Business Travel Accident policy and may participate in Before-Tax Transit benefits.

We are currently seeking a candidate to fill our Specialist role between February 2023 – August 2023 for our PPMD Matters team.

The Advisory PPMD Talent Matters team collaborates with business leaders to grow, develop, assess, and guide the career paths of our Partners, Principals and Managing Directors (“PPMDs”) and provides strategic direction in an objective, unbiased manner for talent-related matters.

More about the Advisory PPMD Matters Specialist Role:

The Enabling Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution of the Deloitte Advisory PPMD Talent Matters strategy and associated operational priorities. As part of the Advisory PPMD organization, the Enabling Specialist is responsible for developing work products that advance the realization of people-related opportunities and solve complex people-related challenges. The focus will be to support Advisory’s Direct Admit onboarding, internal Admissions process and contribute across other workstreams including Peering and Admission Nominations, Performance Management, Reporting, Compliance & Transitions. In addition, the Enabling Senior Consultant will help with projects that span PPMD talent and inclusion strategy, process, operations, and strategic and/or technology transformation, change management, strategic communications, and project management. An intermediate knowledge of excel and PowerPoint and ability to handle ambiguity, changing priorities, and confidential information will be required.

Job overview:

To support the Deloitte Advisory PPMD Talent Matters team in executing the various processes related to Deloitte Advisory Partners, Principals and Managing Directors including:

  • PPMD Direct Admit experienced hires and onboarding
  • New Partner admissions and Managing Director promotions
  • PPMD Talent Operational items

Job responsibilities:

  • Perform numerous quantitative and analytic analyses
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with maximum discretion
  • Compose and produce correspondence, spreadsheets and presentation materials. Proofread these documents for accuracy
  • Assist in developing content and materials for presentations
  • Monitor and maintain succession information
  • Manage the Elevate performance management system
  • Maintain the database used for admissions and promotions (APT)
  • Effectively correspond/communicate with Deloitte Advisory Partners, Principals, and Managing Directors on a regular basis.
  • Effectively manage and supervise Consultant, Administrative and other personnel
  • Effectively correspond/communicate with Deloitte Advisory Leadership
  • Liaise effectively with counterparts in other functions and National Partner Matters
  • Liaise with Finance teams to acquire data pertinent to performance management and admissions processes
  • Organize, plan and oversee meeting events 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Prior work experience in a Professional Services firm a plus
  • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills
  • Professional, service minded attitude and executive demeanor; responsive
  • Exceptional organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Strong at multi-tasking and ability to prioritize and follow through
  • Excellent computer skills — MS Word, Intermediate Excel skills and knowledge , Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint
  • Strong project management, organization, coordination, analytical and critical-thinking skills, and a willingness to tackle both strategic priorities and operational processes
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, adapting to emerging priorities and self-managing in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Deliverable development including requirements gathering, analysis, storyboarding; excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Work both independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate across all levels
  • Willingness to foster innovation with a creative mindset
  • Proactive and creative thinker who is willing to contribute ideas
  • Ability to exercise good judgment/decision making when necessary
  • Ability to multitask effectively while working in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Must have flexibility to work overtime during peak times (April – August is busiest time)

Location: Open; including ability to work remotely

Travel: Occasional 2 to 4 times a year to support offsite meetings and 1 to 2 team meetings per year

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $53,655 to $110,200.
