Work you’ll do

As a Consultant within our Finance & Enterprise Performance team you will:

  • Work with customers to implement enterprise solutions primarily for the Office of the CFO
  • Develop new objects to automate or enhance functionality
  • Prepare technical design specifications
  • Communicate with other team members and clients to support user acceptance testing
  • Analyze business requirements to determine appropriate technical solutions
  • Resolve defects and performance issues; completing technical reviews, supporting code migration, and create technical documentation as required
  • Assist with creation of work plans, level of effort estimates, and release schedules
  • Improve business processes around budget formulation, budget execution, financial reporting and analysis
  • Participate in application development lifecycle to include process redesign, system design, Agile development, data integration, training and ongoing support to customer personnel
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work
  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
  • Provide financial analysis/Budget formulation to large data sets
  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports
  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
  • Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or other business-related field
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • DoD Secret Clearance or higher required

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of relevant federal consulting or industry experience in financial analysis, transformation or strategic initiatives
  • Hands on experience with Java and C++ 
  • Travel up to 25% (While 25% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice
  • Experience in assessing federal financial business processes, developing Momentum based system options, and/or implementation in all aspects of programming, planning, budgeting, execution and/or accounting
  • Demonstrated experience in Momentum software development activities to support one or more Momentum financial modules
  • Experience with BI Publisher reporting
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
