Work you’ll do
As Deloitte Tax Manager, K-1G Business Lead, you will be responsible to help our K-1G team execute on an enhanced operating and delivery model for a more Enterprise Level Application and Client Service experience serving our Investment Management & Partnership Solutions Group (PSG) stakeholders.
This role is the future of what the Tax business continues to evolve to: The intersection of both Tax Technical and Systems Technical knowledge. Working alongside the K1G Product Leadership, Technical and Business Analyst Team(s) this role will be instrumental in day-to-day relations with PSG during Spring & Fall Busy Season(s) as well as other periods throughout the year helping to translate the needed business functionality, forms, and enhancements to align with the next Tax Year and beyond.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work with stakeholders to understand business challenges and opportunities, evaluate feasibility of requirements, determine priorities, and conceive application enhancements for the business’ overall technology roadmap(s).
- Work directly with K-1G Technology team to design, deliver and continuously improve process architecture to meet and exceed delivery standards.
- Call on your Tax background and systems knowledge to enhance the K-1G application and help evaluate possible technical options to best represent K-1G delivery strategy.
- Get hands-on and support the product team in the implementation of complex technical logic and tax position functionality.
- This role will help align the business, technical and process components of a successful product driving accountability throughout the whole team.
- Through this construct, your expertise will help mitigate business and technology risk as well as create a trust model to help deliver continual and sprint driven deliverables.
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate product-related risks.
- Implement standards, guidelines, and metrics aimed at delivering business value quickly and efficiently.
- Work across business delivery teams, ensuring overall standards and guidelines are followed.
- Ensure the quality and low bug rates of code released into production.
- Partner with QA Teams to ensure test cases (manual and automated) are developed and executed.
The Team
Deloitte Tax LLP's Tax Transformation Office (TTO) is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of innovative, enterprise technology, tools, and standard processes to support the delivery of tax services. The TTO team focuses on enhancing Deloitte Tax LLP’s ability to deliver comprehensive, value-added, and efficient tax services to our clients. It is a dynamic team with professionals of varying backgrounds from tax technical, technology development, change management, Six Sigma, and project management. The team consults and executes on a wide range of initiatives involving process and tool development and implementation including training development, engagement management, tool design, and implementation.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- 4+ years’ experience leading project management teams, ideally in a professional services environment, with a focus on strategy implementation, business transformation, and project management
- Experience with Partnership Compliance processes
- Able to respond quickly to high-priority deadlines with little lead-time and adaptable to direction changes
- Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- One of the following accreditations obtained:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $103,320 and $235,170.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
