Position Summary

US Best Managed Companies Program Manager

As part of the Client & Market Growth organization, the Deloitte Private Program Management Office (PMO) is seeking an experienced, hands-on Manager to support the growing US Best Managed Companies (BMC) Program as part of its BMC Team. This position is responsible for the execution of the BMC program.


The successful candidate is a strategic thinker, team player, and self-starter who is extremely detail-oriented, proactive, and an effective collaborator. Must possess superlative writing, project management, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively administrate and operate the program on a day-to-day basis.


The Deloitte Private PMO is focused exclusively on activities that elevate the Deloitte Private brand, strengthen client connections, and drive growth. This position is a key role within the Deloitte Private PMO and works very closely with other groups dedicated to the success of Deloitte Private.

What you’ll do

  • Develop, manage, and execute against overall program playbook, calendar, and plan
  • Lead day-to-day program operations on time and on budget
  • Manage internal stakeholder requests and applicant inquiries
  • Oversee application system development and maintenance including ensuring systems collect and extract appropriate data
  • Manage eligibility process with US Independence and Risk upon application and throughout program
  • Manage budget and develop reporting metrics, processes, and tools; develop data-based program recommendations
  • Ensure all internal and external communication materials and vehicles are updated appropriately throughout each phase of program
  • Manage administration of coaching labs including software licensing, training, communication, access, and protocols; produce labs as necessary
  • Plan and administer judging process
  • Manage all communication with applicants and honorees (program/application status, recognition opportunities, annual survey, Global invites)
  • Develop social media program parameters
  • Ensure means to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders are available and up to date; manage collection, storage, and retention of program communication
  • Liaise with Green Dot Agency to plan and manage honoree events including selecting and securing venue(s); determining themes; selecting speakers, hosts, and entertainment; writing remarks; developing agenda content; and sourcing and selecting vendors (i.e. registration, production, A/V, staging, etc.)
  • Serve as a US BMC brand ambassador to internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively with Global counterparts on shared Global BMC goals

  • Others as needed, including Deloitte Private Talent Lead, Technology Lead, KS Lead, and other groups across Deloitte (e.g. OGC, Risk and Independence, etc.)

  • Six to 12 years relevant experience in a field that emphasizes marketing, communications, and/or project management
  • Bachelor's degree in field that emphasizes critical thinking and effective communication (marketing, communications, English, journalism, PR, writing, political science, philosophy, liberal arts)
  • Knowledge of the private company market a plus and/or eagerness to learn about the market space a must.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing and communications strategic practices and experience building, driving, and executing a broad marketing strategy.
  • Proven success in developing and executing marketing programs for a large business, preferably in professional services.
  • Innovative, creative, curious mindset, willing to learn about, experiment with, and champion new media and channels.
  • Experience collaborating with teams in a professional services or large, matrix organization preferred,
  • Strong writing, editing, and copy-editing skills and previous writing/editing experience in corporate communications, PR, or journalism fields required.
  • Superlative project management skills.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and provides exceptional quality projects.
  • Ability to work well in a virtual team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management.
  • Works well under pressure and can effectively and professionally handle tough issues.
  • Experience in measuring the effectiveness of communication strategies and approaches.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word. Knowledgeable in all aspects of Microsoft Office and ancillary programs.
