Position Summary

Deloitte Services LP seeks a Manager, Solution Architecture in Hermitage, TN.

Work You’ll Do

Provide technical and architectural leadership for Microsoft .NET web applications. Create project and application architecture deliverables that are consistent with architecture principles, standards, methodologies, and best practices. Define technical evaluation criteria for product and technology selection and determine technical approaches to ensure all architectural solutions result in a coherent systems design. Lead technical design sessions with the development teams, including the creation of class models, sequence diagrams, component models, and detailed design specifications to ensure that architecture standards are followed. Apply research and development, prototyping, and vendor evaluations and provide expert knowledge of mobile application architecture to business and technology teams. Facilitate the collaborative development of the technology strategy, technology standards, roadmaps, and practices. Provide support and guidance to the development teams during the analysis, development, and testing processes. Work with business clients and product owners to review business drivers, and strategies to anticipate future business and technology needs. Review and approve third party integration solution architecture. Communicate implications of architectural decisions, technology costs, benefits, and implementation requirements to business and IT leadership. Define and validate technical requirements and establish traceability between requirements and application architecture and design. Develop project initiation documents including objectives, scope, approach, estimates, and deliverables and work with Performance Engineering and Web/Infrastructure Technology teams on defining the deployment architecture and providing guidance on mobile application development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Five years of experience designing or architecting web based systems.
  • Experience must include five years of:
    • Leading technical discussions with development teams to create class models, sequence diagrams, and component models using Microsoft Visio and StarUML tools, and communicating the design of the system to various stakeholders.
  • Experience must include four years of:
    • Creating Proposed Architecture presentations and Detailed Architecture documents using the ATLAS tool, as part of the PAR (Proposed Architecture Review) process to describe the objectives, scope, approach, and estimates for the project;
    • Evaluating, selecting, and procuring suitable vendor applications, technology and tools for projects through TAE (Technology Approach Evaluation) and NTI (New Technology Introduction) processes;
    • Creating technology roadmaps, and participating in design thinking sessions with project stakeholders;
    • Monitoring production application support tickets using ServiceNow tool and assigning to appropriate team members, ensuring issues are resolved within the Service Level Agreements following ITIL process;
    • Facilitating and leading training programs and initiatives;
    • Assessing the privacy and cyber security requirements of projects using FortifyScan security tool/platform, and working with application security groups;
    • Architecting enterprise solutions based on web services (SOAP services and WCF), performing web development using HTML 5, C#, ASP.NET, WCF, XML technologies (XML, XPATH, XSL/XSLT), JavaScript framework libraries, and jQuery;
    • Designing Artificial Intelligence (AI) models leveraging tools including Tensorflow and Microsoft LUIS; and
    • Automating client business processes using Robotics Process Automation (RPA) including UIPath.
