Job Title: Manager, Software Solutions Specialist – Core Finance Solution Architect

Work you’ll do

As the Core Finance Solution Architect, you’ll

  • Analyze business requirements to determine the best options or approaches for their implementation.
  • Work with the functional experts in designing and providing architectural documents and technical specifications for solutions to business requirements.
  • Carry out or coordinate the development of the designed solutions.
  • Analyze and provide break-fixes for production support issues.
  • Execute complex build activities, integrate designs across multiple technologies and projects.
  • Design and manage a complex system testing environment. Confirm supportability of implementation plans.
  • Execute unit and integration test scenarios, analyze results, record and track defects discovered through the testing process.
  • Follow standards, procedures and agile development methodologies.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.
  • Work with the QA teams to ensure they have a good understanding of all the changes for newly developed items.
  • Monitor compliance to standardized procedures and best practices and create new policies and processes as needed.
  • Provide input to project schedules on new projects or change requests.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the SAP products’ technology, tools and/or techniques in the development environment.

Deloitte Application Studios (DAS)

Deloitte Application Studios (DAS) is the internal software and applications development team responsible for delivering leading-edge technologies to Deloitte professionals. Their broad portfolio includes web and mobile productivity tools which empower our people to log expenses, enter timesheets, book travel and more, anywhere, anytime. DAS enables our client service professionals through a comprehensive suite of applications across the business lines. In addition to application delivery, DAS offers full-scale design services, a robust mobile portfolio, cutting-edge analytics, and innovative custom development.


  • Advanced proficiency in software development lifecycle methodologies (i.e. Waterfall, Agile, Kanban) and architecture and technical design of enterprise solutions
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus minimum of 8 years’ experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Programming experience in at least 2 of these areas, SAP HCM, FICO, SD and MM modules.
  • Expert knowledge of ABAP Web-dynpro, RFC, BAPI, BADI, BDC, User Exits, and Enhancement points.
  • Strong hands-on experience with web services.
  • Strong hands-on experience writing outbound/inbound ABAP interfaces using IDOCs.
  • Proven skills in S4 ABAP development, work prioritization and time-management.
  • Proven skills in SAP Integration technologies i.e. SAP Gateway, PI, SUP5.
  • Strong proficiency with office software including PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Ability to work with SAP functional experts and eventually business people in gathering requirements, designing, unit testing, support integration and user acceptance, support post install.
  • Proven experience with the development, execution, and documentation of test scripts.
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.


  • Minimum of seven (8) years of in-depth experience in SAP, solutions design, and delivery of enterprise level solutions is required and of development/configuration in SAP areas such as Asset Accounting, Lease Accounting is required. Additionally, experience in full life-cycle SAP implementation and development methodologies, agile project delivery is preferred.
  • At least 3 years hands on experience in ABAP on S/4 HANA platform;
  • Experience in handling complex enhancements, custom program development in SAP FICO areas of General Ledger, Controlling, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable/OpenText VIM, Project Systems and the integrated with Logistics modules and external applications. 
  • Experience in researching, recommending, and developing user exits, BADI’s BTE’s, Enhancement Points;
  • Extensive experience in debugging, performance tuning, Runtime Analysis and System monitoring.
  • Ability to effectively articulate and present complex technical concepts and ideas to senior IT management, functional and business teams. 
  • Experience in SAP development tools and technologies such as UI, Fiori, OData Services, Workflow will be added advantage
  • Ability to adjust communications to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Must have strong analytical abilities and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated Experience in implementing quality guidelines, standards and procedures, working with ITIL standards for production support and working directly with clients and providing consultation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in dealing with multiple projects and cross-functional teams, and ability to coordinate across teams in a large matrix organization environment.
  • Be comfortable working in the Offshore/Onsite model with high level coordination.
