Deloitte LLP  seeks a MANAGER, MERGERS & ACQUISITION, M&A - INTEGRATION & DIVESTITURE in New York, New York and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

MANAGE ENGAGEMENTS THAT LEAD CLIENTS THROUGH COMPLEX TRANSITIONS THAT COME WITH TRANSACTIONS AND TRANSFORMATIONS THAT ARE PART OF THAT JOURNEY INCLUDING: TARGET IDENTIFICATION AND PRE-DEAL DUE DILIGENCE, M&A ROADMAPS, STRATEGIES, AND SYNERGY TARGETS, DEVELOPING DAY 1 PROJECTS AND PLANS AND POST DAY 1 PLANNING AND EXECUTION. MANAGE INTEGRATED, CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS TO DELIVER MERGER & ACQUISITION (M&A) ENGAGEMENTS ACROSS ALL OF PHASES OF THE M&A LIFECYCLE INCLUDE DUE-DILIGENCE, PRE-CLOSE, AND POST-MERGER INTEGRATION. PROVIDE CORPORATE AND PRIVATE EQUITY BUYERS WITH A BROAD CONTINUUM OF ADVISORY SERVICES TO SUPPORT MERGERS, ACQUISITIONS, CARVE-OUTS, INVESTMENT AND FINANCING STRUCTURES, DISPOSITION ALTERNATIVES AND POST-TRANSACTION ACTIVITIES. MANAGE SERVICE EXCELLENCE BY IDENTIFYING KEY BUSINESS ISSUES, DETERMINING NEEDS BY SUPPLEMENTING THE STANDARD ASSESSMENT TECHNIQUES AND TOOLS WITH INNOVATIVE APPROACHES, EVALUATING AND VALIDATING ANALYSIS, AND DEVELOPING RECOMMENDATIONS. MANAGE DAY-TO-DAY INTERACTIONS, DEVELOP, AND MAINTAIN CONTACT WITH TOP DECISION MAKERS AT KEY CLIENTS. PARTICIPATE AND LEAD ASPECTS OF THE PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT PROCESS AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROPOSAL PRICING STRATEGIES. PERFORM ROLE OF COUNSELOR AND COACH, ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN STAFF RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION ACTIVITIES, AND PROVIDE LEADERSHIP AND SUPPORT FOR DELIVERY TEAMS AND STAFF IN LOCAL OFFICES. IMPROVE INTERNAL PROCESSES, AND PROMOTE KNOWLEDGE SHARING IN THE TEAM, BY CONTRIBUTING TO THE COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE, BLOGS, AND OTHER FORMS OF MARKET EMINENCE.

Requirements

MASTERS DEGREE OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, ANY STEM FIELD, OR A RELATED FIELD. THREE YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. IN THE ALTERNATIVE, THE EMPLOYER IS WILLING TO ACCEPT A BACHELORS DEGREE OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT IN A STATED FIELD AND FIVE YEARS OF PROGRESSIVELY RESPONSIBLE EXPERIENCE AS NOTED ABOVE. MUST HAVE THREE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH:

  • CONDUCTING BUSINESS PLAN REVIEWS, OPERATIONAL DUE DILIGENCE, RESOURCE ASSESSMENTS, AND M&A (MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS) IMPLEMENTATION PLANNING, USING REVENUE CYCLE ASSESSMENTS, OPERATIONAL BLUEPRINTING METHODOLOGY, AND OPERATIONAL DUE DILIGENCE PLAYBOOK USING MICROSOFT EXCEL, MICROSOFT POWERPOINT AND MICROSOFT WORD;
  • CONDUCTING INDUSTRY RESEARCH, MARKET RESEARCH, CLIENT SURVEYS, AND PROJECT DELIVERABLE ANALYSIS TO EVALUATE COST AND VALUE DRIVERS FOR COST OF GOODS SOLD (COGS) UTILIZING TOOLS SUCH AS MARKET INTELLIGENCE BY S&P GLOBAL, HOOVERS, AMONG OTHER BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE SERVICES, TO GATHER KEY FINANCIAL INFORMATION;
  • COORDINATING THE PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES OF CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ONSHORE AND OFFSHORE TEAM MEMBERS TO ENSURE EFFICIENT COMPLETION OF PROJECT TASKS;
  • INTERFACING DIRECTLY WITH CLIENT STAKEHOLDERS TO GATHER FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS, ANALYZE CLIENT REQUIREMENTS, AND TRANSLATE REQUIREMENTS INTO PROJECT DESIGNS TO DELIVER SOLUTIONS THAT MEET CLIENT NEEDS;
  • TRACKING AND REPORTING ON PROJECT AND MILESTONE DELIVERABLES STATUS TO ENSURE TIMELY PROJECT DELIVERY AND COMMUNICATION OF UPDATES TO INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS;
  • DEVELOPING COMMERCIAL PROPOSALS AND DISCUSSION DOCUMENTS TO INTRODUCE COMPANIES CAPABILITIES TO POTENTIAL CLIENTS USING MICROSOFT OFFICE SUITE AND ADOBE ACROBAT;
  • PARTICIPATING AND SUPPORTING IT DEPARTMENTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESS REQUIREMENT DOCUMENTS FOR FINANCE TRANSFORMATION PROGRAMS;
  • BUILDING FINANCIAL MODELS INCLUDING THREE STATEMENT MODEL, DISCOUNTED CASH FLOW (DCF) MODEL, CONSOLIDATION MODEL, BUDGET MODEL, AND FORECASTING MODEL USING ADVANCED MICROSOFT EXCEL TO FORECAST AND MEASURE COMPANIES PERFORMANCE; AND
  • WORKING WITH SALES TEAMS TO DEVELOP IMPLEMENTATION TIMELINES FOR PROPOSALS BEING DELIVERED TO CLIENTS.
  • 80% Travel required nationally.
