Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Manager, Human Capital, Organization Transformation in Chicago, IL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

MANAGE TEAMS THAT PERFORM RESERVE ANALYSES, INCLUDING STATEMENTS OF ACTUARIAL OPINION, PRICING, MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS, FINANCIAL MODELING, ECONOMIC CAPITAL MODELING, ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT, NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, STRATEGIC PLANNING, PRICING STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT, TARGET MARKET ASSESSMENTS, COMPETITIVE ASSESSMENTS OF COVERAGE AND RATING, DEVELOPMENT OF RATING MODELS AND FACTORS FOR NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCT ENHANCEMENTS, PROFITABILITY ANALYSIS AND AUDIT SUPPORT. MANAGE THE DESIGN AND EVALUATE EMPLOYEE BENEFIT PROGRAMS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON PENSION AND POST-RETIREMENT MEDICAL AND INSURANCE PLANS; DETERMINE THE ADEQUACY, FUNDING REQUIREMENTS, AND FINANCIAL IMPACT OF THESE PLANS, AND ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS AND FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING STANDARDS. MANAGE THE ANALYSIS OF FINANCIAL CONSEQUENCES OF RISK USING MATHEMATICS, STATISTICS, AND FINANCIAL THEORY TO STUDY UNCERTAIN FUTURE EVENTS, ESPECIALLY THOSE OF CONCERN TO INSURANCE AND PENSION PROGRAMS. PROVIDE INSURANCE AND RETIREMENT INDUSTRY INSIGHT AND ANALYTICAL SUPPORT USING DATA MINING, PATTERN MATCHING, DATA VISUALIZATION, AND PREDICTIVE MODELING TOOLS TO PRODUCE ANALYSIS AND ALGORITHMS THAT HELP BUSINESSES MAKE BETTER DECISIONS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH IRS REGULATIONS. MANAGE DAY-TO-DAY INTERACTIONS WITH EXECUTIVE AND SPONSORS; DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN CONTACT WITH TOP DECISION MAKERS AT KEY. PARTICIPATE AND LEAD ASPECTS OF THE PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT PROCESS; CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROPOSAL PRICING STRATEGIES. PERFORM ROLE OF COUNSELOR AND COACH; ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN STAFF RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION ACTIVITIES; PROVIDE LEADERSHIP AND SUPPORT FOR DELIVERY TEAMS AND STAFF IN LOCAL OFFICES. IMPROVE INTERNAL PROCESSES, AND PROMOTE KNOWLEDGE SHARING IN THE TEAM, BY CONTRIBUTING TO THE COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE, BLOGS, AND OTHER FORMS OF MARKET EMINENCE.

Requirements

MASTER'S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN MATHEMATICS, ECONOMICS, STATISTICS, ACTUARIAL SCIENCE OR A

RELATED FIELD AND THREE (3) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. IN THE ALTERNATIVE, THE EMPLOYER WILL ACCEPT A BACHELOR'S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) AND FIVE (5) YEARS OF PROGRESSIVELY RESPONSIBLE RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE. MUST ALSO HAVE THREE (3) YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE INVOLVING EACH OF THE FOLLOWING: MANAGING AND PERFORMING ACTUARIAL ANALYSES IN PRICING, RESERVING, FINANCIAL MODELING, MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS, AND ECONOMIC CAPITAL MODELING; PROVIDING BUSINESS AND ANALYTICAL INSIGHTS IN THE HEALTHCARE & LIFE SCIENCES AND INSURANCE INDUSTRY AND IMPROVING BUSINESS DECISION-MAKING BASED ON MARKET RESEARCH AND DATA ANALYTICS; AND DEPLOYING TECHNIQUES SUCH AS DATA MINING, PATTERN MATCHING, DATA VISUALIZATION, DATA BENCHMARKING, AND PREDICTIVE MODELING, UTILIZING R, PYTHON, SAS (STATISTICAL ANALYSIS SYSTEM), SQL (STRUCTURED QUERY LANGUAGE), AND TABLEAU.

ADDITIONALLY, MUST HAVE TWO (2) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH:

LEADING LARGE SCALE TRANSFORMATION INITIATIVES AROUND STRATEGY, IMPLEMENTATION, AND OPERATIONS, INCLUDING MARKET ENTRY ASSESSMENT, PRODUCT LAUNCH IMPLEMENTATION, DATA AND ANALYTICS IMPROVEMENT, AND VALUE-BASED CARE TRANSFORMATION; TRACKING AND RESOLVING KEY ISSUES AND RISKS TO BUDGET, SCOPE AND RESOURCES AND WORK WITH BUSINESS AND IT RESOURCES USING WATERFALL AND AGILE DELIVERY METHODOLOGIES; MANAGING DAY-TO-DAY INTERACTIONS WITH EXECUTIVES AND SPONSORS AND DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING CONTACT WITH TOP DECISION MAKERS; LEADING ASPECTS OF THE PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT PROCESS BY IDENTIFING BUSINESS PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS AND OUTLINING APPROACHES AND DELIVERABLES AND CONTRIBUTING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROPOSAL PRICING STRATEGIES; PERFORMING ROLE OF COUNSELOR AND COACH, ACTIVELY PARTICIPATING IN STAFF RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION ACTIVITIES, AND PROVIDING LEADERSHIP AND SUPPORT FOR DELIVERY TEAMS AND STAFF IN LOCAL OFFICES AND IN OTHER OFFICES ACROSS THE COUNTRY; AND IMPROVING INTERNAL PROCESSES AND PROMOTING KNOWLEDGE SHARING IN THE TEAM, BY CONTRIBUTING TO THE COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE, PRODUCING INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL POINT-OF-VIEWS (POVS) AND WHITEPAPER PUBLICATIONS, AND ACTING AS SUBJECT MATTER ADVISORS ON CLIENT ENGAGEMENTS.
