Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Manager, Core Business Operations, Cloud Engineering in Los Angeles, CA and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You’ll Do

Manage the creation of innovative and transformative Cloud-based technology solutions for network transformation projects; create effective IT visions, strategies and roadmaps, in direct alignment and support of business and technology objectives. Manage the design and implementation of large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data, utilizing enterprise networking technologies, tools and processes, including routing and switching, L4-7 traffic management (including load balancing), firewalls, datacenter fabric, as well as networking protocols. Manage the delivery of comprehensive network transformation projects; help achieve the most out of their existing infrastructure and guide them through multi-year transformations that are necessary in the wake of technology disruptions such as Cloud and Internet of Things (IoT). Manage day-to-day interactions with executives and sponsors and develop and maintain contact with top decision makers. Perform role of counselor and coach, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, and provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence. Manage information technology projects, including development and implementation services, to address manufacturing, financial, human resources, customer relationship management, supply chain, and other business needs throughout the enterprise.

Requirements 

Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Engineering (any), any STEM field, or a related field and three (3) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) and five (5) years of progressive related work experience. Must have three (3) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Evaluating the clients technology needs to develop and create effective IT visions, strategies and roadmaps;
  • Utilizing RDBMS and Big Data technologies in implementing large-scale data ecosystems;
  • Participating in and leading aspects of the proposal development process and contributing to the development of proposal pricing strategies and responses to Requests for Proposals;
  • Carrying out end-to-end delivery of projects and system change requests, technical design, design review, code review, performance tuning, project delivery and resource planning;
  • Providing clients with feedback on performance on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
  • Defining, tracking, and measuring overall department performance and metrics, creating project charters, schedules, and plans, defining project tasks, allocating resources and monitoring project progress, utilizing Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft office suite;
  • Overseeing project management, utilizing Weekly, Monthly and Executive reports;
  • Utilizing Program management and Agile & DevOps frameworks in managing information technology projects;
  • Performing code reviews and developing Proof of Concepts (POCs) for technical solutions, utilizing Eclipse, BitBucket, Jenkins, and various DevOps tools and frameworks;
  • Architecting digital transformations and designing constituent systems, utilizing Cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Low-Code & No-Code platforms, Custom development, Database integrations and AI/ML technologies;
  • Interfacing directly with client stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, analyze client requirements, and translate requirements into project designs to deliver solutions that meet client needs, utilizing Atlassian and other collaboration tools;
  • Leading and supervising small teams focused on specific workstreams of engagements; and
  • Managing, developing, and mentoring staff, assessing engagement performance and performing year-end reviews.
