Position Summary

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Services, LLC seeks a Manager, Application Development in Princeton, New Jersey.

Work You’ll Do

Monitor progress and status of tasks and deliverables on projects and escalate issues and risks timely. Lead the delivery, implementation, and improvement of all applicable channel processes, methodologies, and service level agreements (SLAs). Provide on-going support to business and content teams on strategic technology platform, quality assurance and issue resolution. Enforces standards, procedures, and methodologies for the software development life cycle. Analyze emerging technologies, influence technology decisions and direction of project solutions. Collaborate with product team members to fully understand business requirements and create clear functional specifications outlining the client requirements. Utilize experience with Web hosting technologies and hosting applications in Microsoft Windows (IIS, SharePoint) and Red hat Linux servers in a distributed high availability configuration; Leading projects involving building the server farms in all the environments (Dev, QA, Staging, Production and Disaster recovery), servers, Virtual IP’s for load balancing, DNS ( internal as well as external for internet facing sites) and firewall adhering to Web Hosting Standards; Application architecture reviews to provide recommended improvements for better reliability and application performance; Configuring the setup of an entire continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipeline for web applications using various tools like Azure DevOps, Bamboo and IBM uDeploy; Identifying problems relating to mission critical services and implementing automation to prevent problem recurrence; Setting up monitoring and analytics reporting of high critical .NET/Java applications by instrumenting them using Application monitoring (APM) applications AppDynamics and New Relic; Leading the end-to-end setup of secure file transfer technologies at organization level for internal and external users to securely transfer files using web (HTTPS) and SFTP protocols enabled with multi factor authentication; Azure technologies Compute, network, storage and data.

Requirements 

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field and four (4) years of experience in Software Engineer, Web Engineer or related occupation.


Special Requirements: Experience must have included experience in the following special skills:

  • Four (4) years of experience with web hosting technologies and hosting applications in Microsoft Windows (IIS, SharePoint) and Red hat Linux servers in a distributed high availability configuration
  • Four (4) years of experience with leading projects involving building the server farms in all the environments (Dev, QA, Staging, Production and Disaster recovery), servers, Virtual IP’s for load balancing, DNS (internal as well as external for internet facing sites) and firewall adhering to Web Hosting Standards
  • Three (3) years of experience with application architecture reviews to provide recommended improvements for better reliability and application performance
  • One (1) year of experience with configuring the setup of an entire continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipeline for web applications using various tools like Azure DevOps, Bamboo and IBM uDeploy
