MMIS Developer
Are you a Data Analytics/ Informatics subject matter expert with technical/functional Medicaid Data Analytics experience? Are you a MMIS application development person? Work you’ll do
Seeking application developer with demonstrated experience in the batches and interfaces application domain or in the claims domain in a State Medicaid, MMIS setting or in a health insurance Managed Care Organization setting. The individual will participate in current state assessment (conduct discovery) and transition from the incumbent within 120 days, acquire hands-on experience in the sub-system being transitioned and prepare for operational readiness demonstrations. The definition of done is our team assuming ownership of the sub-systems in each domain. The lead will have some experience in Agile-style software development and will work as part of a sprint team.
Application domain details may include:
- Batch and interface operations including FTP, scheduling and error handling within specified SLAs
- Inbound data file (nightly, as scheduled) management across SFTP and other non-EDI channels
- Maintenance of interface and batch design specifications with integration partners
- Reporting and analytics for Medicaid and CHIP claims, enrollment, rates, providers
- Ad-hoc and scheduled reporting
- Fraud detection - data analytics
- Claims and encounters:
- EDI X12 837 claims management experience for FFS claims
- Encounter data processing experience from a State Medicaid perspective
- Medicaid and CHIP data warehouse and operational data store experience for claims and encounter sub systems
Technology platforms may include:
- Development (enhancement and maintenance) of enterprise technology solutions that satisfy business requirements for Medicaid and CHIP data warehouses, data marts for regulatory reporting, large complex systems in the Medicaid/MMIS or health insurance claims and pricing space.

Qualifications
Required:
- Associates degree required
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Travel up to 20%
Preferred:
- 5+ years of interface and batch management experience
- Agile development experience and developer certification in core skills
- SCRUM certification
- Custom Development experience in Tableau and BusinesObject
- 5+ years of EDI EDIFECS XEngine / equivalent experience
- 5+ years of TANDEM/HP Nonstop platform
- 5+ years development experience (GUARDIAN / OSS, COBOL, C, C++, JAVA)
