Work You’ll Do
This role is located in Norfolk, VA. This Logistics Data Analyst (ILS SME) will:
- Act as a trusted advisor on all aspects of ILS, providing expert guidance on maintenance planning, provisioning, data management, and supportability analysis.
- Responsible for parts and material research and expediting.
- Conduct thorough reviews of technical manuals, logistics support plans, and other ILS documentation, identifying and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, etc.) to ensure optimal life cycle support for assigned systems and equipment.
- Stay abreast of evolving ILS regulations and best practices, proactively proposing and implementing innovative solutions.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret a wide range of logistics data, including maintenance records, supply chain metrics, and performance indicators.
- Leverage data analytics tools and techniques to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for optimization.
- Develop insightful reports and presentations, clearly communicating complex data findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate data insights into actionable recommendations for improving maintenance efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing fleet readiness.
- Lead and manage FMAAs, meticulously evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance activities at assigned RMCs.
- Conduct in-depth interviews, gather data, and analyze processes to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

The GPS AI & Data Engineering offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 12 years of experience required
- Active Secret clearance or higher
- 5+ years of experience in logistics data analysis, data quality management, and analytics strategy
- 5+ years of experience with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
- 5+ years of experience in Leading and managing Fleet Maintenance Activity Assessments (FMAAs)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- Presentation building and writing skills
- Government based experience
- Project management experience
