The Systems Engineering offering is comprised of experienced professionals who help guide clients through their most complex technology challenges. This can include the delivery of large scale software applications & integrated systems, the development of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integrations solutions, and the delivery of technology enablement to support CIO services transformation. Our Systems Engineering offering focuses on key client issues that impact the core business, provide operational value, drive down the cost of quality, and enhance technology innovation.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance or higher
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 4+ years of experience in software development
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future  

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with UML: Use Case Diagrams, Business Process Flows, and Sequence Diagrams. Understanding of database concepts 
  • Experience with solution architecture, system design, and interface design specification documents 
  • Familiarity with Agile, Cloud, Containers, Microservices, and API Gateways
  • Experience as a technical lead and with mentoring junior developers
  • Support a portfolio of applications from a holistic standpoint in order to understand various complex product requirements, mitigate challenges and integrate software
  • Support technical teams as a lead by enforcing best practices, coding standards and consistency across multiple delivery teams
  • Support the development of conceptual and logical solutions for desired products, features, and platform architectures to capture software requirements from a business perspective and develop tangible acceptance criteria for developer and testers to perform in epics, stories, and tasks
  • Support agile teams as a technical lead in the identification of pragmatic solutions to address implementation challenges that arise to minimize technical debt
  • Experience with web based development using Java/J2EE Technologies, expertise in full web stack development; creating and consuming REST APIs, expertise in tools, techniques and frameworks like Hibernate, event-drive architecture, and service orchestration.
  • Develop responsive web front-end code using React to both rapidly create responsive web apps to meet end users' needs and create a modularized set of front-end components that make it easier to maintain and reuse for future capabilities and applications 
  • Use a test-first development approach to integrate React Testing Library, Junit testing and JaCoCo / Sonarqube code coverage reporting into the Jenkins build process
  • Develop and consume REST APIs using techniques and frameworks such as Hibernate, event-driven architecture, and service orchestration, and integration JUnit testing and JaCoCo code coverage reporting into the Jenkins build process
  • Experience with deployment tools to package and deploy components 
  • Ability to effectively communicate issues with the client, team members, team leads and/or project management
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Experience working on Agile scrum teams
  • Experience with full stack development using React and Java
