The Lead Specialist, DEI Institute is responsible for driving day-to-day activities of Deloitte’s DEI Institute, helping to ensure seamless progress toward goals and objectives while enabling our collective impact with internal and external leaders. Teaming with the Institute’s leaders and extended team, the Lead Specialist will own execution of multiple operational processes including but not limited to management of central and special projects/programs, external relationships and sponsorships, and internal collaboration.

Specifically, the role will:

  • Establish and implement procedures to drive operational efficiencies within the Institute
  • Develop and execute a strategic, consistent approach for the Institute’s core projects and programs, including creation of initial policies, procedures, and reporting processes
  • Assist with managing key projects and programs aligned with the Institute, including concept design and planning, content management, and/or leadership reporting
  • Draft high-quality deliverables in a timely manner and maintain progress of critical action items
  • Manage budget administration, planning, and adherence for key programs
  • Augment collaboration and decision-making across the Institute and other firm-wide groups
  • Build coordination with Deloitte leadership teams to strengthen cohesion across the firm
  • Support Institute team in building external eminence (events, meetings, social media, etc.)
  • Amplify and contribute to DEI Institute-related thought leadership, where applicable
  • Create internal and external professional networks to support equity-focus of Institute activities
  • Analyze and prepare status updates, reports, and recommendations to leadership
  • Lead and support defined project plans with milestones and contingency plans as needed based on budget, timing, and business needs

The individual selected for this assignment must be passionate and enthusiastic about DEI and its mission and must be able to build strong relationships and collaborate across multiple teams.

The team

This role will work directly with Deloitte’s DEI Institute leaders, team, and collaborators to strengthen Deloitte’s DEI brand and impact externally.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project/program management, client service or related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
  • Experience in developing and executing project outlines, strategies, and concepts
  • Experience in measuring the effectiveness of program strategies and approaches
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word; knowledgeable in all aspects of Microsoft Office and ancillary programs
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

  • Knowledge and previous work experience in the DEI space
  • Excellent program/project management skills with ability to think both strategically and tactically

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $78,570 - $144,695 . 

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
