Work you’ll do 

MissionStax is Deloitte’s microservice approach to rapidly delivering modular and scalable software applications that meet critical mission needs. MissionStax operates at the intersection of proven commercial technologies and critical government missions. We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to serve as a Front-End Lead Engineer. The Technical Lead will architect our solutions and lead the development and implementation of amazing web applications for public sector clients.

•As part of a cross-functional agile team, lead a team of front-end engineers (approx. 6 practitioners) to launch innovative products for Public Sector clients

•Build, lead and serve an effective team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development

•Establish shared vision with the development team and technical client team and by building consensus on architecture and technical approach

•Achieve sprint goals with a team of world-class front-end, back-end, and DevOps engineers

•Monitor and measure technical team member performance. Establish metrics, conduct code reviews, and coach and mentor developers

•Understand Deloitte’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized as cutting-edge and best in the industry.

The GPS Analytics and Cognitive (A&C) offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.

 

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role 
  • 5+ Years of software engineering experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript/React/Redux
  • Track record of building data-driven web application with RESTful APIs
  • Strong understanding of JSON Web Tokens and session cookies
  • Expertise in React state management with Redux

Some creativity and innovation – desire to learn and apply new technologies and products

Experience leading technical delivery as part of a scrum team

A product company mindset to design and lead development of reusable components

Expertise reviewing code of other developers and providing feedback
