Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Services, LLC seeks a Lead Devops Engineer in Chicago, Illinois.

Work You’ll Do

Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive, accurate project plans and schedules, as well as perform estimation, forecasting, planning, analysis, issue, risk, change management, escalation management, meeting facilitation, variance analysis, and status reporting. Identify, assess risks and issues, propose solutions, negotiate across stakeholders, and resolve conflicts/roadblocks by building teams and addresses performance issues. Lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of multiple, complex, high risk projects directly affecting the firm's strategy to meet technology and business requirements on time and within budget. Build and maintain relationships with partner/principals and firm director level through employee level, including CIO/ITS and customer leaders, channel leads, product owners, shared resource leaders, technical team leads, technical and non-technical teams. Serve in an advisory and consultative role to teams and stakeholders on all project-related activities. Lead executive-level steering committees by producing and delivering communications to the executive level and experience auditing projects and summarizing results and producing management reports. Advise and execute project management methodologies and standards including those within the ITS Project Delivery Process and SDLC, PMI PMBOK, and ITS PMO procedures, and ensure they are followed by project team members.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:

  • Configuring Azure DevOps for setting up Git repos, creating build and release pipeline, triggering automatic deployments with approval gates configured for deployments to higher environment.
  • Writing Azure ARM templates with custom script extensions for Proof of concept (POC) designs for auto-provisioning to meet Development team's needs.
  • Setting up and configure Azure environments (Infrastructure-as-a-Service-IaaS), services (Platform-as-a-Service-PaaS) using terraform, ARM templates, PowerShell, and Azure CLI.
  • Designing container-based deployments using Docker, working with Docker images, Docker Hub and Docker-registries and Kubernetes.
  • Managing auto scaling of infrastructure and instances to right-size workload and performance using Azure PowerShell scripts and Azure Arm Templates.
  • Minimizing manual involvement by designing and implementing continuous improvements that create an operating environment, including the development of new tools, dynamically monitoring, alerting, and automated self-healing, and recovery.
  • Deploying Micro Services to App Servers and Database Changes to Oracle, db2, and Microsoft SQL.
  • Designing a strategy to successfully implement SharePoint patching for large farms that includes an automation of Config Cache Clearing, Upgrading SP Content Databases, and Clearing Upgrade Conflicts within the Farms and finally speeding up the PSCONFIG process.
  • Implementing the rollout of the Office Web Apps (OWA) and Active Directory Rights Management features to work jointly with Enterprise SharePoint.
  • Performing Application Disaster Recovery Testing, maintain SharePoint Servers Health, and Automating SharePoint Service accounts renewal using PowerShell Scripts.
