Deloitte Services LP seeks a Lead Cloud Engineer in Austin, TX.

Work You’ll Do

Develop a scalable architecture across AWS platform spanning multiple member firms. Implement network security strategies. Provide analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement of cloud network and security. Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to develop consistent technical solutions and implementation activities and support processes. Keep the team abreast of current and emerging cloud technologies, work with peers to design and build global cloud hosting platform capabilities, and incorporate necessary automation and tool configurations. Develop cloud formation templates, implement infrastructure and operations procedures, monitor source control, and deploy improvements via a CI/CD pipeline. Collect user data relating to violations of platform rules through cloud watch events and create personalized visualization dashboards. Maintain security compliance by applying the principle of least privileges and just-in-time access standards when assigning IAM roles to users, EC2 instances, and any AWS resources limiting access rights to essential permissions. Generate product backlog progress and status metrics using agile methodology and leveraging AZURE Devops (VSTS) KANBAN Boards, dashboards, and reporting tools. Implement and maintain Qualys as a vulnerability management tool for the entire AWS platform and develop dashboards to monitor and analyze EC2 agents within the technical environment. Develop and maintain end-to-end automation to reduce deployment time to production environment. Serve as an AWS development technical expert and coordinate the design work and deliverables by cloud developer engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent)).
  • Eighteen months of cloud solution architecture and networking and cloud security applications implementation experience.
  • Experience must also include eighteen months of:
    • Providing Tier 2 support for operational requests utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform, Azure, VDI and Workspaces while ensuring all security and compliance controls are met;
    • Working with the Engineering, TOC (Technology Operations Center), SOC (Security Operations Center), and Incident Response teams to define and document Incident Management workflow for effective resolution of incidents;
    • Creating operational plans for high availability of APIs, including RACI, Communication Plan, and RunBooks;
    • Consulting with client stakeholders on strategies for deployment of new cloud technology implementation, monitoring, and optimization of existing equipment;
    • Delivering end-to-end infrastructure management solutions and automating infrastructure migration within a cloud environment and implementing cloud governance, building, deploying, and monitoring standards for clients;
    • Developing security and tool automations for the AWS platform that can be leveraged across multiple business entities to manage workloads in the Cloud;
    • Maintaining environment security by developing automated solutions for Alert Management as a proactive measure to counter security threats and vulnerabilities;
    • Defining and delivering the appropriate cloud solution architecture and strategic approaches to support various cloud native, hybrid, non-hybrid and migration engagements;
    • Creating proactive cloud disaster recovery strategies, monitoring and testing application performance, and collaborating with developers to implement solutions; and
    • Performing software requirements management, including requirements gathering and evaluation and analysis to determine business, operational and technological objectives
