As an intern in Deloitte Information Technology Services (ITS), you’ll have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside leading professionals while building your professional skills in a variety of analytical techniques and industry skills. You’ll be involved in developing data analysis plans, innovative analytics strategies, and designing and implementing a variety of solutions that help clients address challenging business issues.


Work you’ll do

As an Information Technology Services intern, you will work directly with internal clients, building a foundation as a trusted ITS specialist and advisor. You will collaborate daily as part of high-performing teams, developing solutions to complex technology issues through research, use of cutting-edge technology, and consultation with other team members. You will commonly work with multiple clients at the same time, providing you exposure to a variety of businesses and a stronger understanding of information technology services.


The team

As an Information Technology Services professional, you’ll have the opportunity to work in one of four ITS Service Lines: Deloitte Applications Studios (DAS), Technology and Infrastructure (T&I), Cyber Security, or Technology Management Operations (TMO). Here you’ll get the chance to work with an experienced team on projects that will build on your technical and business skills and help our clients achieve a higher level of service in operational efficiency and business value.

Qualifications

Required:

* Pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in the following majors with relevant analytics or data management focused coursework desired:

Technology: Data Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems

Business: Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics

Math/Engineering: Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, Statistics, Actuarial

* Travel up to 10% may be required, depending on role (While up to 10% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice).

* The start date for this position will be in 2021

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

* Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2 preferred)

* Strong communication, team building, teaming and presentation experience

* Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/assignments/responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

* Prior experience working with and managing data sets, including extraction and merges from source systems, transformation, and providing preliminary descriptive analytics

* Additionally, we are seeking candidates with familiarity with a variety of analytics tools and programming languages such as, but not limited to:

o Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo Db

o Languages (e.g., SQL, Java, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, C#, C++, VBA, VB.Net, ASP.Net, HTML, SAS)

o Reporting Tools (e.g., Business Objects, Reporting Services)

o Data Visualization Tools (e.g. QlikView, Tableau, Power Bi)
