Work you’ll do
- Assist with drafting all HR and Alternative Personnel System (APS) policies and provide recommendations for standard operating procedures and associated products (e.g., instructions and formal responses to requests for data generated by the DoD, DON, and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM)).
- Ability to coordinate logistics for NAVWAR HR instruction updates, collect data for metrics, coordinate work performed in support of HR functional areas, to include data calls, policy reviews, and policy updates that pertain to APS classification, position management, performance management, pay setting, staffing and recruitment, employee relations, and workforce shaping.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining Civ DCHR SharePoint sites to establish self-service options for users and establish a repository of trainings and informational resources. Update multiple 8.0.3 pages in a timely manner with routine and ad-hoc HR information while taking into account functionality, appearance, and content. Change appearance and add new sections when necessary for interface that best serves the command workforce.
- Serve as primary coordinator for the DCHR-assigned tasks issued through the Department of the Navy Tasking, Records, and Consolidated Knowledge Enterprise Repository (DON TRACKER).
- Download and distribute task actions, requirements, and associated documents to subject matter experts (SME) in a timely manner. Combine SME inputs, resolve conflicting inputs, provide input when needed, and upload or send final responses by respective due dates.
- Process 8.0.3 purchases and adhere to established purchasing policies and government regulations including different rules for various types of purchasing.
- Solicit and coordinate quotes, purchases, and deliveries with the document services department of the Defense Logistics Agency.
- Inventory supplies, solicit 8.0.3 staff for specific supply needs, and create multiple vendor online-shopping carts while staying within the given budget for purchases.

Qualifications
Required:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this role.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- At least five (5) years of experience providing human resources support to a federal program office.
- Knowledge of and experience in applying the DON correspondence manual to develop written products for routing to senior executives for promulgation.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor important and complex projects concurrently.
