Work you’ll do
This is a hands-on lead position that will apply human centered design principles to perform discovery activities related to the interaction and visual design of a series of user-facing web applications. You will be responsible for:
- Building a UX design strategy, identifying and driving task-level discovery and design activities (usability testing, user interviews, surveys, a/b testing), facilitating artifact development and readiness for technical team use
- Managing a team of 5+ individuals
- Working closely with the Product Owner and Product Manager

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum five (5) years of experience leading user research (usability testing, user interviews, surveys questionnaires, a/b testing, etc.), qualitative/quantitative/behavioral/attitudinal analysis & synthesis, UI design, and interaction design
- One (1) year of experience within the past five (5) years being responsible for leading a UX research and design team
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Ability to travel 20 - 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Preferred:
- Additional experience working in an Agile setting as a UX Researcher and/or UX Designer
- Specific experience with:
- Crafting surveys to inform design and content strategy
- Recruiting and screening participants using a variety of techniques
- Creating human-centered frameworks such as user journeys and behavior archetypes
- Maintaining and tracking research activities
- Creating discussion guides and research plans
- Conducting usability and timed-task tests
- Producing user requirement specifications and experience goals, personas
- Designing and specifying user interfaces and information architecture
- Producing system maps, user scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes

This compensation range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $151,800 to $253,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
