You’ll play a pivotal role in HX TrustID Product Development by bringing in your skills around Product & Program Management. You will serve as a proxy Product owner for the offshore development team, working closely with the onshore Product Manager to develop and maintain a prioritized and groomed backlog that aligns with business objectives. You will also bring in your skills as an Agile Scrum Master by bringing in practices & processes that help in efficient planning, execution, and effective collaboration across the board. Through this role, you will fuel our continuing innovation and help us scale. Ideal candidate must look for continuous improvement opportunities and produce highest quality product that delights the customer. You should also be able to coach teams and facilitate scrum ceremonies such as release planning, sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint demo, sprint review and retrospectives.
Work you'll do
The role involves partnering with Product Managers and Asset Engineering Leads in activities related to product strategy, roadmap and research. You should also have an understanding agile processes, grooming the adoption of agile mindset, partnering with scrum team and leadership, guiding, and enforcing the usage of Agile/Scrum values, creating a collaborative environment that increases participation and reduces conflicts.
- Strategize, execute, and maintain small-size program initiatives that are key to achieving Product vision
- Act as a Proxy Product owner and participate in Product vision and roadmap exercise
- Ability to align Product success metrics & KPIs, research and customer feedback to the development team’s action plan
- Exposure to PI Planning, Product Backlog Prioritization and providing functional perspectives during technology enhancements/upgrades/implementations
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration and communication between cross-functional teams and multiple Asset teams, to achieve the Implementation roadmap
- Standardizing planning & other process and streamlining communication within the product team and with other parts of the company
- Contribute towards ensuring overall adherence of Agile principle at a Product Program level
- Continual improvement through measurement of scrum maturity and other program effectiveness through definition and reporting of key metrics to the leadership
- As an Agile Scrum Master, facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, proactively communicates, and remediates risks and issues, shields the team from external distractions and minimizes disruptions
- Facilitate formulation of team working agreements, Definition of Ready (DoR), Definition of Done (DoD), workflow of user stories
- Work closely with Product & Engineering Managers to maintain a healthy backlog, prioritize backlog, maintain, and communicate minimum viable product (MVP)
- Coach scrum team to balance technical debt against new feature delivery
- Assess scrum maturity of the team, coach the team to achieve higher maturity levels without impacting productivity
- Ensure team has clearly identified goals and measurements to deliver value as planned
- Establish and maintain dashboard that enhances visibility of team progress, team capacity, impediments, defect rate, backlog health, sprint velocity, burn down, release metrics, etc.
- Build trust among team members by helping manage conflicts, challenges, eliminating the culture of blame with an emphasis on problem solving
- Create a safe environment for experimentation, innovation and communication
Qualifications
Required to have:
- 5+ years of relevant experience using Agile delivery methodology in a Product (preferable) or Consulting setup
- 3+ years working in a Product Management
- 2+ years working in an Agile environment as a Scrum Master
- Defining Product success KPIs, contribute to Product Strategy & Roadmaps
- Research mindset, participating in and facilitating discussions to discover & prioritize solutions, capturing and transforming business and technology requirements into high-quality User Stories and Acceptance criteria
- Intimate knowledge of Agile and Scrum with proven experience coaching, mentoring and teaching junior Agile practitioners
- Experience communicating with leadership (lead through influence)
- Proven experience with creating support resources & programs such as onboarding & training programs
- Creating a strong Product Mindset and foster an ongoing culture of high performance
- Experience writing product requirement documents (PRDs)
- Must be proficient managing Product backlogs through Agile Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, VersionOne, etc.) as well as with Internet research tools, presentation tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), etc.
- Experience managing work planning, monitoring, and reporting
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Ability to travel up to 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and relevant experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Machine Learning.
Good to have:
- MBA or a graduate degree in management or engineering fields
- Experience working in software engineering or data & analytics-based product development environment
- 2+ years of team leadership & people management experience
- Product Owner certifications such as CSPO, PSPO
- Scrum Master & Agile Certification (SAFe, CSM, PSM, SSM, Lean, Scrum-Kanban and/or Rally)
- Experience managing requirements processes including conducting interviews and documenting requirements
- Experience with industry standard System Development Life Cycle methodologies
