Work you’ll do
As a Project Delivery Specialist II in the Technology group you will:
- Work with a project team and a team of resources dedicated to delivering client engagements from an off-site location focused on common tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Main resource for the implementation and/or support of various client applications.
- Support Implementation and Operations Management best practices
- Lead and support tasks and portions of the project scope on engagements related but not limited to Systems Implementation, Operations & Maintenance and Helpdesk Operations
- Identify and solve problems using analysis, experience, and judgment

The GPS Human Services Transformation offering designs and implements large, complex systems development and transformation projects to Human Service agencies across federal, state, and local government agencies as well as higher education institutions. With end-users, customers, and workers at the center, we collaborate with our clients to deliver quality human services and work to support individuals in need. Some areas that we focus on include Children Services, Eligibility & Enrollment, Child Support Enforcement, and Labor & Workforce Development.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5-7 Years of application development experience with at least 2 to 3 years focused on database design and/or development activities
- Experience in Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 18, 19)
- Experience in both logical and physical database design/modeling
- Experience in identifying and fixing database issues related to dead lock, abnormal application lock, contention, etc.
- Experience in performance tuning of SQL queries
- Experience in maintaining multiple databases and to support development team
- Expereince in writing Stored Procedures, Packages, triggers, Views
- Experience in writing shell/batch scripts for processes like RMAN, VERITAS backups, debug instance/database crash/recovery
- Experience with backup and recovery and Security
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts is necessary.
- Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices while leading and mentoring a team of developers.
- Ability to understand methodologies and tools used for delivery and display a passion to follow and devise processes for improving quality
- Ability to multi-task & support multiple priorities / multiple deliverables
- Ability to understand requirements and turn them to useful client deliverables using a team
