Google Cloud Solution Architect

Work you’ll do/Responsibilities

 

  • Use your problem-solving creativity to design, architect, and develop high-end technology solutions that solve our clients’ most complex and challenging problems across different industries
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the development life cycle and focus on delivery of quality solutions
  • Mentor engineering team members on technical decision making, code reviews and enforcing engineering practices and standards
  • Lead technical discussions and build consensus among engineers
  • Develop deployment automation to provide a fully functional cloud stack in GCP that supports the Client’s environment and/or requirements
  • Build, migrate and test GCP environments and integrations with other platforms
  • Setup multi-level network environments using GCP
  • Design end to end application and data security
  • Develop templates or scripts to automate everyday developer or operations functions
  • Lead program optimization to work within constructs of a GCP environment  
  • ​Identify new tools and processes to improve the Cloud platforms
  • Collaborate with remote team members to build and maintain positive, productive team relationships

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience 
  • 10+ years of experience with implementation, migrations and upgrades in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure Cloud environment (GCP highly preferred)
  • Previous exposure in cloud infrastructure, integration, cloud server provisioning 
  • Experienced in working on DevOps/Agile operations process and tools area (code review, unit test automation, Service, Incident and Change Management).
  • Experience in scripting languages such as, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible Shell Scripting, Python, Ruby, PERL Scripting
  • Build automation using ANT, MAVEN and other UNIX, Windows system level programming.
  • Extensive experience with Continuous Integration Tools such as, GIT Lab CI & Jenkins.
  • Experience building and deploying micro-based applications in cloud with Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes 
  • Experience with API and Gateway functions like Cloud Function and API Gateway (or equivalent) 
  • Strong understanding of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • GCP (Google Cloud Platform), AWS (Amazon Web Services), or Azure Certification
  • Must live in a commutable distance (approximately 100-mile radius) to one of the following Delivery locations: Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Gilbert, AZ; Houston, TX; Lake Mary, FL; Mechanicsburg, PA; Philadelphia, PA with the ability to commute to assigned location for the day, without the need for overnight accommodations
  • Expectation to co-locate in your designated Delivery location up to 30% of the time based on business needs. This may include a maximum of 10% overnight client/project travel.
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. This may include overnight
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
