Work you’ll do/Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable developer to join a fast-paced development effort to re-architect and modernize a high-visibility system. As a core member of our development team, you will:
- Design, develop and modify software systems and custom components using modern dev stack
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers
- Analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems
- Develop and execute test procedures for software components
- Analyze user requirements to derive technical software design and performance requirements
- Plan, track, manage deliverables on short term sprints, and long-term software deployments

Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
- MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TOP SECRET OR CBP PUBLIC TRUST CLEARANCE
- 3+ years of API development
- Proficient development experience building, testing, and troubleshooting integrations and RESTful APIs
- Proficient in designing API specs using RAML, Swagger, OpenAPI or other API modeling language
- Experience with Spring Framework, JMS, SOAP and REST web services
- Understanding of developing Web-services, HTML UI, CSS and JavaScript
- Travel up to 10% annually
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred
- Experience developing applications in JavaScript/TypeScript using NodeJS framework
- API development training
- Experience architecting or building system integrations and familiarity with automated CI/CD build pipelines tools such as Maven and Jenkins
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong written and oral communication skills
